Oh dont be so short sighted. Wii launched and Devs were caught sitting down on the job, once they saw its popularity they've begun to go and find viable options for titles on the Wii.
EA, since the Wii launch, has announced its new branch, EA Salt Lake. A branch devoted wholy to make Wii only games. Ubisoft continues to churn out titles while konami and likewise developers are doing the same. Why are we seeing very few at the moment? Because they are unheard of, at the moment, as I said before developers are finally realizing the Wii's capabilities in development and its rapidly growing userbase. Are they all going to be crappy PS2 ports? No but you must have a short-term memory as you forget the fact that the Wii's 3rd party dev kits were released only months before the launch.
so you can continue to flaunt ignorance by resisting the fact that Nintendo actually has 3rd party support, if you want, but its going to do nothing in the long run.
You're looking at EA to provide you the quality? :lol: Even among some cows and lemmings EA has long been the butt of jokes. Look at how they ruined the recent Def jam game. And back during Gamecube, I remember Sheep making fun of EA for leaving the Gamecube (poor sales) and calling EA a whore-grubbin, Madden-making crappy dev company. But NOW it's your savior, because you need it a big name company on your side that badly I suspect. Ubisoft last time I checked is responsible for the lowest scoring games on the Wii. Splinter Cell, Far Cry were ported from PS2, not because of time, but because of technical issues. Wii can't handle the effects on Xbox 360/PS3 versions, so Wii will forever be tied to lower-grade versions. And Konami, as of today, is doing this:
