Portal 2 did better on the PC than on consoles

A lot of console players just rented the game. After you play it once there is little reason to replay a puzzle game like portal.

Maybe in inital sales but how many console players are still playing L4D? PC gamers are still playing them due to the massive amount of user generated content available.

Didnt portal 2 on PS3 come out during the PSN outage? I thought people had trouble activating it or something or other. Also why would someone without a PS3 buy the PS3 version instead of just the PC

It has servers for all types of modes going 24/7 on 360. Yes, I play it on 360. Tons of servers.

Cool for Valve. It just goes to show that any game can do well on any system. It has more to do with potential market than which has more systems in the hands of consumers blah blah blah.

Finding any games on L4D2 on 360 is a ***** now... I bought it to play with my buddies and have the worst trouble finding games :(

I rented it IMO it was not worth 65 dollars.

I haven't played it in a while, but for months, consistently, I was being put into lobbies that were barely filled and oft times had to play with numerous bots.

And this is at 10:30 in the morning on a weekday, when most are either at school or working. If I weren't on shift work I would be working as well. Apparently the 360 version sold more than the PC which I find hard to believe but apparently is true according to the article.

Did you think I was attacking the 360 version from a pro-PC standpoint? Regardless, I was only putting forth my viewpoint. I don't doubt there are still enough games to play, I was simply stating that it certainly was a ***** finding some when I started playing on the 360. The amount of games that weren't full got frustrating and forced me to stop playing.If there are more full games now, then sweet, cos i've been wanting to get the achievements for the game :P

Holy ****, I just got into a full campaign game on it. There were only 12 games, so it was limited, but at least there were some Expert campaigns going :P

I was under the assumption that Valve would come up with some system of stopping people doing that. If it turns out they didn't, then I'm very surprised.

I mean, surely they must have foreseen people doing that? It took about 10 seconds after them announcing it for people to start saying they were going to do it.

wowzer, is this really big news? its valve, of course their fans are going to get it on the pc, also getting the ps3 version also gets you the pc version.

I guess they couldn't think of a way to prevent it that wouldn't be hugely inconvenient and/or block used sales entirely.

It probably wasn't a major concern for them, because you're still buying a version of the game. All it means is that someone else gets the game used, which would have happened anyway.
