Don't forget Mass Effect. It's not MY game of the year, but it is for a bunch of other folks. It may have a pretty good shot at it, too.

Bioshock looks promising, but the other GoTYs over shawdow it. Metroid Prime 3, while my personal favorite series, is banking on good controls. SSBB has online; 'nuff said. Halo 3 has a lot to live up to. Crysis has to prove it has good gameplay, not just good graphics. I know little about Mass Effect. Lair, and Heavenly Sword, like Crysis, have to prove that they have substance, not just looks.

Uncharted looks great! And these are possible but the latter is not likely: Half-Life 2: The Orange Box, and Oblivion GoTY Edition.
