Possible Half-Life movie in the works...?

I hope not. any fps or tps based movie will suck. none has any depth of story. it all a an excuse to go and gun down whatever enemy you face. it is all cliche there not one that shows any chacter depth than that of a one -liner macho marine. only closest to one that is possible is bioshock and even then relating the story will be much harder with out ghost scenes and tape records.

nah. i found halo3's story to be a convulted mess, and even worse than 2's. At least the original kept things simple and had a story that was still entertaining and epic.

the problem is that fps is that main character depth is low. master chief is one liner spouting macho marine. nothing he say in any of the game was either dramatic or displayed any depth of character. Gordon is mute the guy you play in bioshock is a mute systemshock your a mute. the enviroment is good side chacters are fleshed out however the main character is not. story telling methods in fps are different than story telling methods in movies. A the perspective changes first person to third person. B. story telling mehod in half-life is told via exploring the area seeing newsclippings. bioshock and system shock use audio logs something harder to grab a audiences interest. I find it hard to make to a movie worthy of the video game it started on. the games you listed are great just that transition would be hard.
