Probably Super Mario 64.

I don't know what it was. I'm just guessing it was this since it was the game I used to play the most with my dad when I was little.

This started it all. Before that I was playing text adventure games and "Tank" & Star Trek" games on monochrome monitors.

My sister and I played it all the time, along with Berzerk, Adventure, Yar's Revenge, that god awful ET game, frogger, boxing, dig dug, pac-man...another terrible port, pitfall, space invaders, spiderman, stampede, empire strikes back and a few that used the paddles.

I'm sorry you are a newb gamer, and only started gaming last gen, or the ending of gen 6, and thus have missed out on a lot of gaming history. No need to cry about it.

@xboxdone74: haha! Remember how cool it was driving the tank out one side of the T.V. And in the other? Good times from that system. Adventure was another one that was a first love.

First game I bought on the N64. Interestingly enough, I never heard of the Final Fantasy series until I tried Tactics Advanced on the GBA..

I loved steering them around the obstacles to hit my sister's tank. Much rage ensued.

Speaking of Adventure...you ever find the dot in the castle, that would open up the credits for the team that worked on it? Was pretty creative of them...considering this was in a time when Atari didn't allow credits in their games.

@xboxdone74: I remember the dragons had some crazy pursuit after me that would always scare the crap out of me. Never beat it back then but beat it a few years ago.

My first games were Star Castle(yes had one in the basement after my dad repaired it) and on Atari was Tank and Pacman,

The red dragon was freaky as hell. Gold and Green were fairly tame. Annoying bat that would steal your keys.

This might be the wrong one, but it's the first game I remember playing. I played it on my 2nd birthday (although probably not very well :P)

I have no idea. I was so small. It would probably have been on the NES though. I have older brothers, so I played on whatever they had at the time.
