I thought it would be fun to start a general post your collections thread.

We never really get a chance to see each others game collections so I'm really excited to see all the cool collections you guys have. Hopefully this could become a sticky.

I know you're tired of seeing mine, but its only fair I post some of my collection. I'm sure there are still a handful of members who haven't seen it yet.

Nice.

No pics here, as there wouldn't be much to see lol. If you stepped into my place you wouldn't even know I play video games.

As for systems that are currently hooked up, PS3, PS4, WiiU, Switch, and of course my PC.

I probably have a PS1 and a N64 in a box somewhere. And I probably have 10, maybe 15 physical games at best.

Anything I want to play from gen 6 or prior is through some form of BC, or emus.

I did the same. Once all the Virtual Consoles were out, I got rid of so many old cartridges, especially the portable ones. I still have a handful in a drawer that I can't quite let go of for some reason.

@kjtc1979:

Yeah I know the feeling, I have a few old physical games I just can't part with for whatever reason.

Sometimes I do wish I would have held on to everything. I think it was some time in 2004/2005 when I handed my entire gaming history over to Gamestop for something in the ballpark of $800 lol. Was a stupid choice, I really should have either kept the stuff, or at least hit up Ebay and make a significantly better turn-around.

I wasn't a collector in the sense of seeking valuable gaming items, it was more about just having a huge playable library. At the height of my collecting, I had at least three of every major console from the Atari 2600 on up, hooked up across 5 different TVs, with a ridiculous amount of games. My apartment was basically an arcade and a cable management nightmare.

I would have a decent collection, if I could stop loaning stuff to people and then forgetting who I loaned it too.

They say that too much Mary Jane in your younger years can lead to uh....... um......

Wait, what were we talking about again?

Don't have the room or the inclination to display my games, besides with years I've been gaming, it would make my house look like a retro games store.

I'd post mine but it's in another country. It's PC, PS1/2/3/4, SNES, N64, PSP, Vita, and DS. It's a big collection, but was much larger over a year ago before me and the wife got our place.

Not many physical games, mostly in the digital realm now.

@suicidesn0wman Has easily the largest collection on this site. I probably have the largest blue chip collection. Who knows at this point between him and I. NYADC collection was average.

I'm in the process of getting a house built so my shit is scattered but here are some "gems".

A lot of these games are factory sealed, a lot of systems are factory sealed. Have every Mario from NES to current factory sealed now. Breath of the Wild Special edition was opened for us, but Master Edition stays sealed. Chrono Trigger is CIB. That Boo plate for the 3ds is a few hundred bucks (ultra rare, glows in the dark). N64 DD is rare, I have jaguars, panasonic 3dos, everything you can think of...this is just shit i grabbed off my instagram because i'm super lazy. The shot of the consoles on the entertainment is old. Have a ps4 pro, xbox one S, and Switch now.

here we go....

@n64dd: Does the N64DD have any worthwhile content? I remember they had an F-Zero expansion for it, but what else? Looks cool and would look nice right beside my FC/FDS setup.

Phantasy Star IV in the Genesis, dope. I loved that game back in the day. Most expensive (non special edition) game I ever bought at launch.

I hope this thread is still around in the summer. I'm in the middle of some big things. My 4th bedroom is a gaming/playroom with multiple TV's while my 3 car garage is my current retro gaming spot. It may sound strange, but I have both areas hooked up pretty well. I just need some time for the finishing touches.

I'm pretty much all digital. All physical games I got rid of, besides a handful of games.

Unless I get a retro collection of some kind it'll stay that way.

This is really the only thing I have running. My Wii U is packed up because I'm moving, and my PS3 is just a netflix/movie box. Man, this cell phone has crappy pictures; time for a new one soon.

About 15 years ago I was a collector having nearly 30 systems. Life happened though and I moved in with my now wife into a small apartment. No room for the extra games so I kept my favorites and sold the rest on eBay. I still have the following:

  • Game Gear w/28 games
  • Genesis w/25 games
  • PS1 - 50 games, no system
  • Dreamcast w/15 games
  • PS2 slim w/40 games
  • Gamecube - 1 game, no system
  • PS3 - 3 games, no system
  • PSV w/6-10 games
  • Wii w/10 games
  • PS4 w/30+ games thus far
  • Switch w/2 games

As soon as the Switch gets more games I'll probably get rid of the Wii. If a Shenmue HD Collection is announced for PS4, I'll probably get rid of my Dreamcast.

A lot of Japanese imports. Can you read Japanese?
