Post-apocalyptic game you are looking foward to the most?(56k no)

Hey guys. With all these post-apocalyptic games coming out for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC like Fallout 3, Borderlands, and RAGE....I would like to know which ones your looking forward to the most. The game im most interested in is Fallout 3. That game is looking out to be a true post-apocalyptic game. Graphics aside from the other ones. Fallout 3 is gonna deliver a post-apocalyptic experience like no other.

The post-apocalyptic game I'm most looking forward to is Ravi Drum Party.

Fallout 3, obviously.

Unless the new Bungie game they announce is a forerunner game that shows the fall of it. That will be show the apocalypse. Apocalypse of universe > city

Sorry, I just like Bungie's work. And yes, I'm one of the 3 people on these forums who have played their works pre-Halo before Halo came out.

Marathon was so much better than Doom. So much better. It was the revolution for shooters. Doom didn't do **** for the industry, it just popularized it

Wolfenstine created FPS, marathon created objectives and a real story, then half-life 1 started heavy scripting, then Halo brought forth something more than a linear environment of hallways.

Isn't Borderlands in another world?

Also TC, you forgot Left 4 Dead.

I started playing it about a year ago and got only a few hours in and really regret not finishing it. I am hoping to start it again soon.foxhound_fox

Fallout 1 had a great ending. When I got to the final boss It was a surreal experience.

I never managed to get the ship to depart in Fallout 2. :(

Fallout 3, just because I haven't seen enough of RAGE or Borderlands to form an opinion on them.BioShockOwnz

RPGs > Shooters

I really enjoy the way Bethesada does rpgs. I wasn't fond of oblivion, but I liked how they looks to be refining the actual fun factor. Fallout 3 looks like it'll have depth. It's atmosphere is incredible. I'm saying a 9.0. Just sounds right.

I typically like rpgs more though, so I'm biased. There are exceptions though.

I think I have different views on what a rpg is. Where not going to settle this.

Diablo is just like Dungeons and Dragons: Warriors or Marvel Unltimate Alliance, although the stats matter more, especiallytha Marvel. For the record, I thought D&D was fabulous and Marvel was great. D&D > Diablo > Marvel.

It doesn't make it any less of a game though.

nope. not in my book. Lacks key defining features for a rpg.

The main thing that defines and rpg is that you play a role. They either put you in a role or you pick one for yourself. Here's a detail most people miss: They must develop this role hugely.

Stats. armor, leveling, etc. are common things you'll see in rpgs, but only a factor of you get stronger as the game goes on is needed.

Look at all the classic and recent rpgs, from both sides of the camp- jrpgs and wrpgs, don't you notice this common theme?

no im just saying that those 2 videos i have shown you have gameplay of both games....the only difference between them is that planetscape torment is a little heavy on the ammount of text is gives you. Gameplay wise they look EXACTALLY the same.

yah i was thinking about buying it...a LONG time ago...but i dont think i can go back to old games like those....well besdies diablo series and fallout series.

yup yup in the on-stage demo there were people camped out on the streets sitting by fires, flipped over cars, damage buildings, and what not ..and also the guy said the area is locked down due to contamination....so it definitely counts as a post-apocalyptic game

Okay. But Planescape Torment is a videogame philosophy masterpiece. It's not any old game, it's a beautiful game.

Wow at this thread.. you just took my three most anticipated games and put pick one. Well since I don't count inFamous as a post apolyptic game I can rule that out and that would have been my pick if it fell into the category personally, but since it doesn't i'll move onto Fallout 3 and Borderlands. Borderlands I see it as on a different planet and Fallout is completely post apocalyptic. I'm not looking forward to Fallout 3 as much as Borderlands as a level of hype and interest but it is coming out sooner and is classified as a post apocolyptic game so my final answer is. Fallout 3.Blackification

inFAMOUS is a actually post-apocalyptic game believe it or not. Just not as extreme. Its not like the human race is on the line...just all the people in that city will die out....eventually from all the crime, disease, and all that other fun stuff.

Borderlands...i wasnt so sure if it was a post-apocalyptic game or not (it sure hell looks like one) ....but something fishy tells me is it...
