Need a broad idea if people are at all interested in N64 Controller and if you currently still own one. If you are experencing lose joysticks. A friend of mine and I are trying to see if there is a large enough demand to warrent starting a business dedicated to building NEW N64 controllers. We are planning on proposing the idea to Nintendo.

Post Here If Even Vaguely Interested

No, this is a terrible Idea, imo.

I hope you have an amazing business plan, have some money, and can work around any legal issues you may run into. Big companies like Nintendo usually just scoff at ideas like these, especially from very small businesses or just people who don't even own a business. Don't be suprised if Nintendo turns you down or ignores your proposal completely. Starting a business is really hard, not trying to discourage you, just telling you what the reality is. But if you really want to do this then go for it and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

You should start a business where people will pay you to punch Bill Gates in the weiner every time someones 360 gets RROD. You will make millions.

I actually wanted to buy a new N64 controller a few months ago so I could play Goldeneye again, since the joysticks in my controllers are jacked to Hell, but really I don't think the N64 controller business is very lucrative lol.

With the wii making Virtual Console N64 games and taking advantage of either a gamecube or Classic Wii controller, I don't see it taking off as well as you'd hope. Even though the actual N64 console has some great exclusive games you will never see on Virtual Console (such as games made by Rare or other licensed games) The fanbase of gamers who actually still play their N64 is probably very small. While you may be able to open an Ebay shop where gamers can send in their old controllers and you fix, adjust or modify them, It sounds like a wasted effort to make all-new controllers, esspecially when you may run into patent issues or whathaveyou. If your intent is to fix the worn analog sticks in old N64 controllers, go for it. But ottherwise, it sounds too complicated to be worth your time and effort.
