Predictions For Next Gen

hi i have been thinking and it seems more and more likely that next gen maybe some companies will pull out or do things very differently.

i mean look at at sony....they have lost billions due to the ps3

microsoft have lost billions due to the rrod issue

nintendo....well they invented a money printing machine... and not ONE but TWO machines!!

why would sony or microsoft want to go through it all again next gen and end up losing even more? if that happens

maybe they will unite for one console? or maybe sony will pull out? cos we all know sony isnt as rich as before...

or maybe we will receive systems which are more on the lines of the Wii? something less expensive and less complicated but somethign which still does the job?

Nintendo's next handheld will probably be like this. At least I kinda hope so.

Will be touch screen.
Widescreen that splits in two to play DS games.
Will use Gamecube disks as media.
Will use SD cards for storage, and the SD slot will accept DS cards.
Gamecube graphics.
Backwards compatible with Gamecube games.

I predict one of them will go full ahead with high-end hardware, and the other two will try to find a middle ground between "waggle" and "cell". There will be no uniting and no drop outs.

I also predict the difference between the SKUs will be much bigger than we're seeing now, with companies trying to please both non-gamers and core gamers.

Why do people now associate Nintendo with low specifications?

The NES was more powerful than it's competitors.
The SNES was more powerful than the Genesis.
The N64 was more powerful than the Playstation.
The GC was more powerful than the PS2.

This is the first time in History that Nintendo have favoured something other than high end visuals.

I think Nintendo's next console will have Holographic Disc Format because Nintendo and inPhase are working on it they have it made but it is expensive now. So if it isn't next gen it will probably the gen after next.
