Ex-Tecmo man Itagaki left the company earlier this year and filed a lawsuit against the publisher claiming it owed him bonus pay for his work on Dead or Alive 4.
However, the recent announcement of the merger between Tecmo and Koei sparked rumours that the wild Itagaki, creator of the Ninja Gaden series, may be returning to the company.
However, Koei president Kenji Matsubara told Famitsu that there was "no possibility" of Itagaki being employed by the company following the merger.
The two publishers are set to merge on 1 April 2009 to create Koei Tecmo Holdings.

I don't think Itagaki would want to come back to them, it seems the company want some publicity.
