In 2 years time Nintendo & Sega will go bust with Philips and it's CD-I providing the only mere challenge (Video CDs, HOW CAN IT LOSE!). Nintendo have more or less admitted giving up making consoles as they are already starting to provide games for it with such leet games like Zelda, Link & Hotel Mario already confirmed.

Mark these words, as i promise you Philips, Atari & Panasonic's promosing 3DO shall be the future of gaming.

Where I'm from (France) the Mega Drive was always above that the SNES, and it ended on top of it. SEGA even translated many popular games into french, which appealed to more people here. The Mega Drive also ended up on top of the SNES in the UK and Spain, but the SNES beat the MD everywhere else in Europe.

The SNES had a killer launch line-up, and the MD actually got much better when it got the exclusive support of Treasure, an ex-Konami team that actually worked on many of the Konami SNES games.

I never liked Sonic much, I preferred more "twitchy" platformers. Also, France and the UK gave the most appreciation and support to the PC-Engine outside of Japan.

Earthbound is simply one of the greatest RPG's around...

Sure, that works for Street Fighter 2, but what about games like Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters that only takes 3 button input! It sucks, that's what!

System Wars 15 years ago would have been a mess.

7 different consoles at once with seven different fanboys.

It's bad enough with three, imagine 7!!!

IMO, mario owns sonic.

The SNES could do 256 colors while the Sega Genesis/Megadrive could only do 16. The SNES sound hardware was far superior to the Genesis as well. For some reason, sports games always seemed to play better on the Genesis though. The SNES cranked out stuff like Streetfighter II(genesis port pretty much sucked), Zelda: A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Actraiser, Final Fantasy II & III(U.S.). NHL 94 on the genesis is still one of my favorite sports games of all time, but for that generation, the SNES was far superior IMHO.

So what do you all think about this Mortal Kombat? I don't think I've ever played a game that has as much blood. I've heard rumors that Nintendo is censoring the gore... I'm smelling lawsuits. I've even heard that because of this game,the fedsthink video games should be rated just like movies.

How absurd...
