I feel that a lot of us is wondering why MS wants a Horizon Zero Dawn like game of their own. I understand that Horizon Zero Dawn is an awesome game and that I'm glad Sony took a chance on a new IP that has paid off, but wanting to rip off Sony New IP and admitting too it isn't very smart.
Saying "we want a person to make a tribal game aesthetically" or something would be one thing, they said "we want to make horizon zero dawn, plz make me horizon zero dawn, we want a horizon zero dawn game, plz make it"

MS probably referred to HZD because it's the most current, high profile example of the TYPE of game they want. They could have invoked any number of predecessors to give a general idea of what type of thing they want built if HZD didn't exist
*edit* one might argue their general interest in that type of game was encouraged by the warm reception for HZD, but there's nothing wrong with that... that only shows that we as consumers are helping steer development efforts to things we like to play

Do you think they are just going to copy it? Obviously they just meant a open-world story driven game that has something special. Like in the case of HZD robot dinosaurs you can hunt with an arrow... They don't mean just copy/pasting a game. That's ridiculous, and actually really dumb that you would think that's what they meant. Lol what? So Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft, and all other manufacturers are evil because some people are addicted to gaming? Dumbest post I've seen in a while.
Also the reason why there are so many multiplayer games is because more people are playing multiplayer games. It's all based on data. Developers don't just build a game when there's not a market for it. Not to say that there isn't a market for singleplayer games, but lately people have been enjoying multiplayer games that keep getting new content and aren't finished after 10 hours.
