Previous Gen Console Prices

So I know black friday is coming, and Im sure the PS4 and X1s will lower in price and have some bundle deals BUT

I just checked the prices of a ps4 and they are still selling new for $299......PS4 Pro is still $399....X1S is still $299.

I always felt that $199 was a sweet spot for late adopters, or to purchase an extra console just to have or replace an older one.

What's with these high prices?!

Crazy to me that in the uk the xbox one S is more expensive than the series S.

Yeah I’m kind of surprised that the current systems are still priced as high as they currently are. I’ve been holding off on getting a PS4 because I’ve been expecting some price drops.

No reason getting a PS4 now when PS5 plays all its games better.

That's what I was saying. The Series S cost the same as the base versions of last gen consoles and people give it a hard time.

People don't realise how good the Series S unit is for the money. It's so well built, it feels really high quality. It doesn't feel like there were any corners cut on the build quality. Traditionally consoles have been half decent specs, surrounded by a cheap, tacky shell.

On top of that, the system software feels quite mature and works really well. The system software of the Xbox One at launch was so bare bones, it was unbelievable that it was launched in that condition.

I wouldn't count on a price drop this holiday, just getting a hold of one and not getting covid at a door buster will be rewarding enough.
