Prey 2 dropped by Zenimax...will it become the next Sleeping Dogs?

So Bethesda (and Zenimax, by extention) own the rights to the Prey franchise. Therefore if Human Head manage to get another publisher interested, they will have to change the name, a la Sleeping Dogs (previously 'True Crime: Hong Kong').

I hope it gets picked up by another, it looked promising.

Thoughts?

To make this SW worthy, it will obviously be best on the PC (if it ever sees the light of day).

Hopefully someone else picks it up. That seems to be happening a lot lately. Square with Sleeping Dogs, Rockstar with L.A. Noire, etc.

Have you played Prey 2? I haven't and while the game looks promising it still could be the worst game ever. Games get cancelled all the time, get over it.

I played Prey 1 which was awesome, and Prey 2 looked amazing, its all about the god dam money, well someone should burn all of Zenimax money!

Maybe they are holding out for Wet 2 or the Rogue Warrior sequel. Give them a break. It's all about the quality.

Lets just prey, a decent publisher such as sqaure picks it up, so it can be the same game set in the prey universe put a different name.

So if Bethesda own the "Prey" name, does that mean they also own the characters such as "tommy"?

GT5 is nowhere near as good, and considering its developement time and a few of the questionable design choices i'd say it didnt pay off well for the games launch quality :P 5 year dev time and using PS2 models is nowhere near acceptable especially as far into a gen as 2010.

Well, duh. That should have been apparent after Human Head stopped working on it almost a year ago. There's no doubt that this was costing Zenimax waaaay too much money for something that would never stand up to expectations.

Damn, this totally sucks. One of my most anticipated games. Seems kinda odd that Bethesda would call out a game not meeting their standards... with their reputation for game launches.

I hope we get to see Prey 2 in some form, would be such a huge waste otherwise.

Edit: just saw what Pete Hines tweeted. Still, would be nice to have some more info about it. It's been too long.
