PREY or System shock (remake)? which one you are more hype for?

Hmmmmmmmm, I wouldn't say I'm hyped for either games. I wished they would have kept the same premise of what Prey was though, I liked the way you could sometimes be upside down in the game and going through the portals. I think they should have just expanded on it and continued the story but I'm looking at the new one with an open mind and see where they go with it.

I think I'm looking forward to Prey a little more as I am a fan of Arkane Studios. I don't know much about Nightdive Studios but I am still looking forward to System Shock.

PREY is looking much better. System Shock remake is looking kind of half ass.

Really. I didn't know Prey was out and the Remaster of System Shock was also launched. Please share you insights on the actual gameplay.

Prey, since it'll be fresher by comparison. I'm not exactly in need of a System Shock remake, I have no problem replaying the first 2 games. Clunkiness n overly convoluted aside, it's still enjoyable.

I'm more excited for Prey, it's one of my most anticipated games in this year.

I've heard a lot of good things about System Shock, so I'm glad to hear the remake will come out on PS4 so that I can experience one of the best FPS ever, but the gameplay shown in that video didn't do anything for me. But I like the settings and atmosphere of both games.

second one may doesnot need remake but first game need. its waay too ancient and many of us has not played it.

System shock remake is real remake and not HD remastered.

The original Prey was just an OK FPS. If they were remaking it, I wouldn't really care. The scrapped sequel looked really cool, but the new game coming out is neither a remake or a sequel. It looks to have almost nothing to do with the original game, so in that sense it'll be fresher.

The System Shock remake -is- a remake, and as far as remakes go I'm more interested in that than any others except maybe for FF7.

I agree. and i dont even like original Prey at all. it was subpar shooter where you cannnot die and lack any sort of challange. gravity system was cool but thats about it.

System Shock I guess. I wasn't all that impressed with what I've seen of Prey to be honest. I definitely would have preferred Prey 2.

That said Arkane is a competent if not somewhat derivative developer, so I expect Prey to be at least decent.

Both are pretty bad and so is Doom 2016. More excited for WW2 CoD this year.

I don't know if I would say Arkane are derivative. A lot of the work that they are inspired by comes from the fact that designers of those inspirations work at Arkane studios. Harvey Smith, for example.

It kinda feels like the developers of the SS1 remake are kinda missing the point of the game.

Edit: Looking things up. It seems like the game is heading in the right direction as they seemingly said no to a lot of the stupid stuff they said with their initial pitch. I am glad I was seemingly wrong.

System Shock 2 has became legendary and most of the population have at best a vague idea of the original.

Essentially it is a new game.

Prey looks like yet another System Shock 2 wannabe, and history suggest they tend to disappoint one way or another.

System Shock remake looks decent, so my vote goes there. I'd rather they hurry up and finish System Shock 3, though.

Dead space was third person and not wannabe system shock

bioshock was not even in space and poor mans system shock.

i dont see many system shock clones.

The claustrophobic world design, the oppressive atmosphere, the use of apocalyptic logs in storytelling, and the emphasis on survival rather than action are what System Shock 2 was known for, and the elements System Shock 2 wannabes try the hardest to match. They don't have to be first-person or set in space.

by this logic. Deus Ex 1 was inspired by system shock 2 and it was one of the GOAT!!.

Prey will be easily best game this year. is most refreshing FPS i have seen in a long time. last time i have seen was Stalker.

first thing that has to go, is that stupid pick up everything, and watch the dude turn the item in first person. Having a quick hand motion would be fine, but I don't need to see this asshole pick up a battery every fucking time.

Old prey 2 looks like anything modern console shooter with regen health and cover system and point A to B.

New Prey looks more PC oriented game with exploration, deep and complex level design, immersive, RPG elements, no regen health.

yeah I can see which prey is better.

also Arkane has Much better track record. Human Head never made anything gorundbreaking. the First prey game was mediocre too.

So long as it's not a snore like HL2 was.

Probably just as bad. The TC loves snorefests and walking simulators like HL2 where it takes you 15 minutes to punch your first enemy with a crowbar.
