Xbox 360 premium 400$                                PS3 with HDMI and 60gb with WI FI , Blu ray , Free online gaming  $600

Wireless connection to modem $100

Xbox Live for 2 years : 100$ (if you want to play more years , then you´ll have to pay 50$ for each year)

Total : 600$

The difference is that I get 40GB more. I get a free Blu ray player , and I can keep playing online free for ever , and then the most important thing : I get a reliable console

Than go buy it and stop posting price comparisions.

No one here needs to see this arguement for the 2000th time.

You've obviously made up your mind, so stop bothering us with it.

Well, this is an original argument...

I feel like I went into hibernation for almost a year and yet it's still somehow E3 2006.

I'm playing online and I haven't bought a wireless adapter :S The only things i've bought for my 360 is xbox live & an extra wireless controller, which still works out cheaper than a PS3

Wireless is not needed, but when I take business trips that involve hotel stays, my Xbox 360 is worthless if I want to play online. Because I haven't stayed at a hotel lately that offers wired internet connections. While this may not mean anything to some of you guys, it means a lot to me.

Yeah i love how people conveiently forget that the PS3 is missing HD cables and a headset, and when the Xbox 360 Elite comes out, the only thing the PS3 has on the xbox 360 is the blu-ray player.

You bring a console with you on trips? Seriously dude WTH? There are HANDHELDS for a Reason... and since these are "business" trips, you should have a laptop, in which case you're better off getting a gaming laptop... or are you implying that you bring HDTVs with you on business trips as well? Seriously, What the hell....

well you are missing all that nice software that makes 360 better atm than PS3.  You can quote wifi, bluray, hardrive, ect...bottom line though is which console ATM is better if you like to play GAMES.  Right now currently that is the X360.  By the 4th Qtr that could change but quoting all the above is secondary to a GAMER.

Cobra1237

Technically speaking I bought cables for less than $10.  Who uses a headset?  Kind of like some people saying "who uses WiFi" which is what PS3 has over the new Elite X360.

Right now Blu-Ray player is not a big deal, everyone needs to realize that.  HOwever if Blu-Ray wins the format war with HD, watch out.  That is a big bonus to the PS3 then.  Also let's not forget that when devs utlize the full capacity of the Blu-Ray disc, it's another advantage for developing for PS3 (less discs = less money).

But everyone should agree that right now those things make no difference with PS3 barely being in the market (as well as Blu-Ray).  Time will tell if those possible advantages pan out.

Yes, but then that means that the 360 internet technology has primitive wires, and that it would be inferior to the PS3, and we're looking at the comparison between them with roughly the same stuff.

You don't HAVE to use the Microsoft one. Just buy a regular, plain old wireless access point. You can find them on Price Watch for around $35:
