Ughh... I got bored of the sands of time type prince a long time ago, and I don't understand why they didn't just improve the new Prince of Persia concept(making it good...). I'm honestly not excited by the footage and probably will just pass this.
Only PoP game I've purchased was the last one....and that was incredibly boring and repetitive (probably played for an hour and gave up).
But this looks interesting.
The last one wasn't really a PoP game in my opinion except for the setting (kinda) and some of the platforming. The sands of time trilogy (especially the first) is awesomesauce. You should try them some time.Only PoP game I've purchased was the last one....and that was incredibly boring and repetitive (probably played for an hour and gave up).

I agree that the last one was not that great. It wasn't as great as the previous ones-- however I don't think it's a lost cause. Ubisoft could easily improve on the concept, instead of using a one-trick pony tactic.
Honestly, I actually found the last game decent. It was funny, really beautiful and well rather repetitive yet fun at the same time. Although, I wouldn't call it a "Prince of Persia" game. They could've easily called it "Prine of Thieves" and it would've actually made MORE sense.
I wish they continue the story from that one because that was one hell of a cliffhanger and I hate it when such an ending gets ignored for something else.
Anywho, this game looks like the real PoP. It looks amazing. It looks like a mixture of everything that has been in a PoP game so far.
- The acrobatics from the originals
- The time mechanics from the Sands of Time
- The combat system from Warrior Within (YES!)
- The magical look and feel from the last PoP
Honestly, this just HAS TO be good because I've been waiting for a long time for a REAL PoP game.

Oh I still enjoyed the last one despite being inferior to the trilogy. The game looks beautifull too. And I agree, they could built a greater game on this concept. Still, I'm also glad they took this route.graphically its underwhelming, but It doesnt bother me too much because ill be playing it for the story/atmosphere and puzzle solving. Last game was an abomination and I couldnt even force myself to beat it. god awful story(not interesting at all), hold your hand gameplay, most boring platforming ever.
the video didnt load for me..is the fighting like it is in the old ones with multiple enemies, or is it like the last one with boring one on one fights?

multiple...up to 50 enemies on screen
Looks crap and UbiSoft an shove it cuz I want my Prince of Persia 2008 sequel with the beautiful Elika and Prince Nate and not the douche angsty Sands of Time Prince which got boring after the first game back then.
Looking pretty good and thank god that they are going back to the trilogy. I absolutely abhorred the 'new' Prince of Persia. The artstyle was beautiful, but everything else just flat out sucked in my opinion. Running around collecting light seeds and fighting the same bosses 4 times each as you open up more of each level....just pure drudgery.
