Not sure I'm still skeptical but I hope it works well because I don't want any of the Big 3 to fail.
I'm not sure how it will do for Action/Adventure, FPS, Platformers, and other series. But Platformers will be the hardest to make because some characters in platformers have moves like Flip jumps, Triple Jumps, wall jumps, and wall slides.
Well, the 360 is better than the Playstation, I'll give it that. :)
While VERY gimmicky; if it does work even a bit; it would be a huge step forward from a scientific perspective. But from a gaming perspective; it's a little lame and unoriginal. Still; if this helps lead to the FIRST virtual reality gaming console (.hack, here we come) it has my support.
It's neither right now since it's basically in development still. I will say however given the recent looks at it I can safely say it is chocked full of phail right now. I have not been this unexcited for a product in a really long time.

Actually, Natal isn't in development. Games that use Natal are still under development. Natal was complete when MS bought the companies that created it's seperate components. Hmm, MS is good at that. Bringing together seperate ideas into a cohesive single entity.
Anyway, Project Natal and President Obama are the greatest things that happened this year. Maybe the new Harry Potter movie will be next...
:P

[QUOTE="RTUUMM"]Natard is crap.tmatteHAHAHA you combined Natal with the word retard
I love it but not as much as I love my GF
I think the potential is high. Not every game has to be 100% jumping up and down and hand waving. Just like how every Wii game isn't you jumping off your couch. THere are subtle ways to use the tech. Everyone always is in such a rush to paint these doomsday scenarios where because it's possible to use your hand, no game will ever use a controller, there won't be any "hardcore" games, every game will be a fitness game, every game will be a minigame collection. All of this just because they announced that it's possible to control a game without using a standard controller. (but i'm really kinda serious)" way.
It's like, even if you mean it, it's somehow wrong to say it out loud...
Project Natal is one the best things I've seen on this year's E3. In my opinion, it seems that they are pretty much ahead in terms of creativity and innovation this gen.
Bad. Not the direction I want gaming to go in. It's all going to be casual crap and minigames. I hope I am proven wrong but until I am....

The thing is is I can only see it being very costly to make a good quality game for this.
im interested i have to say. it could go either way. depends on what developers come up with. heres a thought. keyboard and mouse. controller and Natal? i cant see much use for the thing by itself aside from with Natal specific games. and possibly RTSs and adventure games. the voice recognition might come in handy. who knows.
My opinion EXACTLY. Wii belongs in the same space as Simon Says. It's a joke console. So far, does not really appeal to me.
Than again, for me, Wii is a gimmick, so take that for what is was worth.
