I know the Motion controller is around the corner, but I wanna know which one you think should be implemented. I think both look great, however judging from the PS motion controller, to me the only thing I do not like about it is Sony did not do anything original. They blatantly copied the Wii. If I wanted a Wii, I would go buy a Wii. With Natal it can be said they copied the PS2 Eyetoy, however it can also be said that Microsoft research has been working on this technology for gaming, also any imprecise stuff you saw at E3 could be fixed cause Natal is not do out for a while. I think they both look great, and I am not a fanboy, but I gotta give the one up to Natal for not blatantly trying to copy the Wii. Oh and Rare is working on it, that interests me very much. Also Hideo Kojima wants to make hardcore games on it, YAYZ. Sweet. Catches my interest. How about you guys? Which one?

I'd rather do full body motions and stuff that wave around a controller.

well, i think both will fail as that is not nearly the audience who has been owning the two consoles for the past few years, and either way you look at it, you have Wii in the back of your mind

Natal is more flexible. it can be used subtly to augment the current controller for the hardcore and use the full body stuff for the casual users.

Dualshock is better than Sixaxis.

but the whole point of natal is to get rid of the controller completely. Which is why i'm not too sure about natal. If i want to move around a map do i run in place?

I like the voice and face recognition idea though.

On a side note, the only way that i'll love the motion controller is if it has an analog stick

I like Sony's approach because they are following a successful trend. (like achievements/gamerscore).They are just putting the wiimote on steroids so to speak. They can up the accuracy in wii-like games ..... while having the added ability to put a person onto the screen with the camera and overlay effectsas an added dimension. And they are putting a visual feedback element on top of that with the glow sphere. The onlybig concern here is how much a camera and waggle sphere will cost how hard they market the product. Microsoft is going all out no doubt.

NATAL will have the hype and pricepoint (assuming) advantage, and the tech is going to beusedfor menusso it has a more broad application which is helpful to sell more units.

Nowwhat's going to actually be produced to use the technologies well with both is total crapshoot at this point. I hope they succeed in the casual market , but I don't want to have to go out and buy yet another peripheral to play the next game in my favorite franchise because they shoehorn it in there.

Sony should keep it dual shock format and implement motion controls into that. I don't mind the Sixaxis.

well then it's just a added bonus that you can use a controller in tandem with Project Natal. You can play a game with out a controller, but it doesn't mean you can not play without one as well.

I just don't see natal be very useful or even working all that well.

Sony's wand has a lot more promise, but I also don't see it supported to well.

If they add an Analog Stick to the Wand, i choose Wand.

If not, i choose nothing... Maybe Natal, if it's not all casual.

both will flop.

Although Natal Will enhance COMPUTER technology and the PS3 Motion Controller will go on a little while but will be buried under the Paint games and On Rail Shooters.

I like MS's idea better, the ps3 is aesthetically inferior. Pending on Natal's success I might buy a 360...

based on the E3 demo (hey, we can't jsut base our arguments with, "hey, this can also be done like this" since imagination is limitless but technology isnt), i haveto say Wand. in the live demo, it was clearly 1:1. Natal, not so much. also, what i'm anticipating with the wand are the games. if youve seen the tech demo, you'll know it'd be both for hardcore and casual games. they showed an RTS tech demo, an FPS, etc.

natal, not so much. you saw the skateboard game. wtf. and that fighting game where you have to punch and kick but the character can't move like SF. what's the use? driving on natal could be fun, but it's clearly for casuals. and don't tell me that you can both use natal and controllers at the same time. lmao. the point of natal is to make a controller-free environment. i mean, if you can use it with a controller, does that mean it only adds miscallaneous actions while the core actions are still withthe controller? what's the use, right? as ive said, i dont think a concept that's controller-free will be successful at all. you need to have a controller to play games. theres just so much casual stuff in the natal demo. tell me one tech demo that they've showed besides the driving game that doesn't reek of Wii games.

This is what I am really excited about as RTS games could actually work on consoles (sorry EndWar, you let me down).

What's sad is that they could had been on Wii for the last two years, but no one is willing to make a console RTS.

It's because Developers today think "I WANT HD!!!!!!1111"

I'm still waiting for awesome 3rd party games for the Wii. 2010 can't come sooner...

Natal will be the better technology, but I'd prefer the wand if I had to use one. I hate them both though. Keep motion sensing out of my games.

Neither. I am not into the whole motion sensing thing.
