Project natal will make 360 have a 10 year life span

I think when project natal comes out it will be like a console launch. They will have a slimmer xbox 360 and alot bigger hard drives. I see 360's selling like hotcakes when the launch of natal happens. I will probably wait till natal comes out to buy me another 360.

Depends on what you mean by that. Microsoft has purchased some developers which makes those companies part of Microsoft. Rare is an example of this.

Saying it will be marketed like a new console and saying we're going to release a new smaller SKU are two VERY different things. I don't doubt there will be a bundle on offer though it has yet to be seen if ALL new Xbox 360s will be bundled with Natal. Also, there is the very real question of how many current Xbox 360 owners will go out and buy the Natal add-on.

i honestly don't know why microsoft and sony have to make these stupid peripherals. just let the wii handle the gimicky **** and stick with your games for hardcore players. they're only doing this to attract pre pubescent kids and soccer moms. I think it's a waste of time and money. I also personaly think its creepy, natal anyway, have you seen milo. that thing is freakin scary, who the hell wants to talk to a fake person and have him be your "friend". This must just be intended for queers and pedos. As for sonys controller i actually have no complaints other than they are just trying to be like everyone else with their own gimmick. Really, I think motion sensing is the future of gaming but I think it's in it's infancy right now. Sure, it's gimmicky and for the most part people look at the Wii and think it's cool for about a month and then don't play again. That said, I think that at some point cheap motion sensing technology will evolve past stick waggling (a'la Wii-mote) and arm flailing (a'la Natal/Eye Toy) and become a control scheme that offers you the kind of precision that we have come to expect from more traditional games. I just don't think we're there yet and I don't think that Natal or Wand will bring us there.

This motion fad is crap. I don't even know why they're trying to copy the Wii. Sure the thing is selling like hot cakes. But it only gets played like 5% as much as the PS3 does oon average. and the 360 gets played even more then the PS3. Standard controllers are still the industry leaders when it comes to actually playing the systems.

2013 - ms release the "720" built around natal

No but I do think Natal will succeed and TBH I can't wait to see what Rare & Lionhead have been working as far as the games launched with Natal - Conker me thinks/hopes is one of those games.:D That said, I will always, always want the ability to use the duel analog controller.

Seriously I hope motion control becomes a new standard I like it but anyway here is what I think MS will do if NATAL fails or succeeds.

NATAL fails-MS screws everyone by releasing a new console the next year with NATAL and push NATew AL harder than ever.

NATAL succeeds-MS doesnt release a new console.

Also I'd like to say all of these new motion controllers will fail unless they are marketed with a new console so if MS wants to succeed with NATAL they have to release a new console at the exact same time same for Sony.
