Project Offset most impressive looking game ever! (56k)

Iv being watching heaps of Project offset videos and they are possibly the most impressive graphics i have ever seen in a game, I just did a search for the game on youtube and i was surprised to see how many videos of the game was on it. Everything about the graphics are amazing, huge environments, awesome lighting and other effects like blur, no other game comes this close to looking like CGI, not even crysis.

Is it a PC exclusive?

It looks nice. I remember them doing that smart promotion thing a while back where you have to click on the link and if they get enough clicks they give info/vid about the game. People probably have no clue what I'm on about but just wanted to mention that.

Looks a bit like Oblivion (which was a bit boring imo, so hopefully it ain't like that).

Its for pc and 360, but i wouldn't be surprised if it get canceled for 360. And if you found oblivion boring don't worry, this is nothing like oblivion, its a fantasy FPS, the gameplay video reminded me alot of the lord of the rings movie, with the dragon and he giant troll, but like i said i doubt it will turn out anything like oblivion.

Uh, i think you got the wrong thread, unless you think that pic of Uncharted can compare to Project Offset, how about you post a link to afew videos of uncharted and you can compare them to the videos of projected offset i posted.

Lol yea, unless the game has being downgraded, I'm still waiting for him to post the screens that supposedly look worse than UT3.

And i totally agree that offset and crysis would be completely different games on consoles, in one of my post i said i wouldn't be surprised if it got cancelled for 360, because i just don't believe anything remotely looking like the videos of project offset could be done on 360. I had actually forgotten this was announced for 360 when i created this thread, i didn't want to start a war against whether this could be done on ps3 or not which will probably happen anyway. I would be far more interested to see how people think it compares to crysis.

Even with a low res video its still obvious that this game has a high chance at beating crysis when it comes to graphics. And I said nothing on whether this game was actually going to be good or not, I hope it will be but on that matter we'll just have to wait and see.

Those screenshots don't look to great but its not enough to change my mind, and if you're talking about the video of all the goblins running in that video then they are in an empty environments because its a tech video showing off hundreds of unique character models running in one scene, and with a game that uses blur to the extent of this game its not fair to judge the detail of a character model off a screenshot, its all blurred, if you watch some of the tech videos you will see that the models are very detailed. I don't no whether you think the game got downgraded or what, maybe those screenshots are from the 360 version, pc games don't usually get downgraded so the last thing i would expect this game to look is worse than the videos i posted.

I saw this a while ago, looked freackin' sweet.

But for some reason I thought it was Lair, and was stunned when the final game came out, I was like "wwwwhhaaaa? was that tech demo I saw CG???!?!?! fckin smoke n mirrors bwaaaahhhh" ;(

I'm a PS3 fanboy? :D Seriously...the dumb thing to say is to compare any annouced game to Crysis, nothing comes close.

This game has a lot to prove. The developers are a bunch of no-names. I'd wait for a demo before I started making any claims about it.

For a time Project Offset was PC only, and it was almost unanimously regarded as sub-Crysis level. Just thought you might want to consider that.

And screw youtube. Watch a trailer of Project Offset in delicious HD quality.

Know what else is really awesome about it? The sound.

really good lighting, huge environments and awesome textures, and high poly models, the question is what doesn't look good(lol animations in the trailers are nothing special but apparently have improved). Killzone 2 looks like crap.

Wet plastic was impressive 2 years ago.
