Will msg4 look better than crysis?steve8198No... No PS3 game in the lifetime of the console will amount to what Crysis has acomplished.

It may reach the same level of graphics, but can it do it in a huge open enviroment with detailed physics, HDR lighting, and AI all at the same time? I think not. 512mb's of ram and a GPU that is no better then an almost three year old Geforce 7800 GTX can only get you so far.[QUOTE="karasill"]No... Unless the PS3 gets a hardware upgrade.. no.
Nothing on a current gen console will ever look as good as Crysis. They can try, but it wont happen. From a technical perspective, Crysis is untoucheable and really helps to show the gap that PC gaming has established between it and console gaming as far as how technically impressive a game can be.

what bomb massively in both scores and saleS? because thats what crysis has done...its like half life 2 upon release thought no in the way of scores but in the fact 99% of the pc gaming populace cant even play the damn game without upgrading.

what bomb massively in both scores and saleS?
It's got an AAA score and 1 million sales worldwide.
Last time I checked that wasn't a "bomb".

Bomb massively in both scores and saleS?
It scored 9.5 here and 91% on Gamerankings. Higher than any PS3 exclusive did. It also got Gamespot's FPS GOTY award.
Not to mention it already sold over 1mln copies.
To sum up: your post was an epic fail

A few people told you off, but yeah I agree with them. Your post was the only bomb here. Over one million sales, AAA score. Maybe you're just jealous that the PS3 won't produce anything as good looking as Crysis.[QUOTE="karasill"]

Theres a huge difference when you say cant play than they can play it on lower resolutions (1024x768) and medium settings. PC isnt only about upgrades. You can downscale the game to what your PC can offer and have fun with high-end titles even if your PC is old.

Your cousin needs help ASAP. Get a copy of Crysis NOW and glue his face to the screen of a high powered rig before he dies of chronic ignorance! THERE ISN'T MUCH TIME!

Sadly? speak for yourself, I'm glad theres only 1 game I cant max with 50-60+ FPS :P
That will change once FC2 is released.
GT5 looks really good.
XenogearsMaster
GT5 looks good because it isn't complex. Its just cars and a track. And even in the previews someone stated that the tracks were uninspired and didn't look very good. Crysis is very complex, its rendering lush jungles, physics and AI. GT5 just doesn't have that level of complexity as Crysis to even try to put it on that level. Someone wrote that by the end of this generation PS3 will reach that graphic level. That is a joke, PS3s hardware is from a last gen PC. Basically, he is saying that a Geforce 7800 can magically get to the level of a Geforce 8800.
on a kinda side not, but kinda relevant, isnt it a shame that no PC company is actively toting or promoting the PC for gaming. i mean we can all insult the TCs cousin if we want but, if someone doesent follow the latest hardware tech, then it wouldnt be hard to see why he doesent know about the PCs horse power.
i mean u have MS touting its sophisticated online play (PCs been doing it for years and its free) and u have sony getting ppl to believe that the PS3 is the most powerful and the most sophisticated piece of electronical equipment on the planet, with blu-ray and the cell (again the cell is nothing for PCs to get worried about and PCs can have blu-ray, or HD-DVD, or if ure crazy, both). meanwhile both companies are undermining the PC as a gaming platform and the ppl who make PC products are doing absolutely nothing to counter it outside the usual, very narrow, promotion channels. its a wonder why ppl arent aware of these things and its not their fault.
i really wish companies like dell, hp, nvidia, amd, asus and so on really started to get the publics attention when it comes to PC hardware.

Link to PS3/360 get RAM and Video Card upgrades? PS3/360 can't even run the game as it is now. Once computer technology advances and more mods come out Crysis is only going to look better.

Except how something looks is completely subjective. Not judging somethings technical merits.

They are using Crysis to promote new GPUs
but how active is it? are they promoting it on the telly? are dell making adds for a rig that will run crysis at very high and are they demonstrating it at retail?. are nvidia and ati putting adds in news papers and on the telly informing them about all this?
or is it just a few adds slapped into a PC gaming and PC hardware mag and having it as a pack in game?
if its the latter then, frankly, thats nowhere near good enough.
Ok this is sad because I have ran into this so many times at school with people thinking that consoles are the best gaming thing ever.
1. They are wrong:shock:
2.My Gpu cost under $150 and plays games, office, media better than any console.
3.It is sad to see so many people misinformed about PC games because the truth is, they havent seen graphics.
