PS Plus new free games for February '19

Hitman and For honor on PS4. Last month PS3 and Vita games will be offered which are MGS 4 and divekick.

We are also getting an upgrade on cloud storage from 10gb to 100gb.

Open to playing both, but particularly Hitman.

Doesn't do much for me since I already own Hitman on PC, but it's a good game

Netflix isn't free, it is a paid service, just like Game Pass and PS Plus. Please stop calling it free games.

Meh, Ps plus has been lackluster lately imo. No incentive for me to renew my subscription since I only use PS4 for the singleplayer exclusives.

So, no more ps3 and Vita offerings?

I bought the last two months games on psn sales recently... Drats.

BTW, Hitman is exquisite fun. A nice change of pace... It actually reminds me more of the original Splinter cell games than anything else.

Played the Marrakesh level when it was free on steam. Never played a Hitman before then and I loved it. Looking forward t playing it. I have For Honor on PC but don't really play it.

Edit: You're confusing ps plus with ps now buy comparing it to gamepass and Netflix.

Two big games I dont have. I wouldn't have gone out and bought them but, whatever I get them anyway.

You can let the industry dictate the terms all you want, doesn't change the fact that they are not free. Playstation Now games though are not free either, you have to pay to access them just as you have to with Plus. They aren't free, you know what is free? Axiom Verge on Epic Launcher, didn't pay a dime and mine to keep, also got Super Meat Boy, Subnautica, Jackbox Party Pack free, no money involved. Tied to my account. I can give plenty of examples of free games that don't involve money. I'm not being anal i'm giving examples now of what free means, by having to keep an active subscription which costs money it isn't free.

@joshrmeyer: Wow, that’s a lot of value lost. Surprised there isn’t a bigger deal made of this. Although sony fans tend to accept whatever sony does and even make excuses for them.

It's technically the same. If you stop paying for PS Plus, you still lose access to those "free" games. It's a glorified rental service.

@joshrmeyer: I’m not a sony customer at all so it doesn’t affect me. I’m just thinking in general. 3 modern console games is a decent trade off. Sounds like an excuse to offer a lot of indis though. But we’ll see how that goes going forward.

Sometimes ‘old games’ can be better that what’s presently available. You can’t deny that.

@drlostrib: What else would they replace them with? Maybe PSVR games, which would be cool for me and promote sales of the unit. But even that is still a PS4 game(requiring a PSVR unit attached). I could be wrong, but that'd be really odd to drop two "free" games a month and charge the same.

Htiman's good for those who haven't played it. I don't even want to play For Honor for free though.

Well when they made the initial announcement they said they'd be sticking with 2 PS4 games

A representative for Sony told Polygon that after February 2019, the monthly PlayStation Plus lineups will consist only of two free PS4 games.

Nice!! Sony have finally given up on charging for online?? I mean that is what op is implying with claiming it’s free games right?

@djoffer: They charge for online play... The games are just free. It's like that theme park that gives free soda, but of course you have to buy a ticket to get in. Or free samples at any Sam's Club or Costco (membership required). I could go on and on. Any game you download isn't free, since you have to pay for internet. Lol

Hard pass on For Honor. I'm in for Hitman though.
