PS store vs XBL Marketplace vs Wii Shop Channel Design/Layout

Which do you like the general design of more? Which navigates best?

not which do you think has more content, better deals, blah blah

which do you think looks better, navigates easier, etc.

I hate the pop up stuff in XBL marketplace and the delay that comes with it

i love the mario downloading screen on the wii shop channel

i like PS stores square layout, and the whole sliding tiles thing on NXE is nice, it gets a lot of attention to what is being shown, but i wish there was more than like 20 tiles but its nice it reminds me of cover flow on my ipod

I actually prefer XBL Marketplace and PSN is in a close 2nd....don't know about the Wii Shop since I don't own one

Hands down XBL marketplace. When you select content you are able to view instant screen shots, streaming previews, you can rate and view ratings, content are organized making things easier to find, and every Arcade and Indie games have free trials standard and updates are always on time.

It seems like there's too many PSN store icons and huge gaming ads that pop up on your XMB. Before that update it was more sleak and less PSN store icons and other stuff popping out the XMB.

Wii Shop Channel is pretty basic. Not bad but not great.

The XBLMarketplace is best imo. Everything is easy to find, it can be accessed from in-game andthe organization is brilliantalthough it lacks a search feature.

PS-Store is a distant second. It lacks content, and i dislike the long scrolling lists. It would be better organized like the XBL marketplace. However it has a search feature, so if you know what you're looking for it's as fast, if not slightly faster then XBL marketplace.

I don't have much experiance with Wii shop channel, but from the little i have, i find it awkward to use.

PSN layout by far. I dont like the giant sliders of the xbl market place. Also when it comes to psn store layout it depends which region you are talking about. Since I like how the orginzation of the NA one but not hte EU one.

PSN it has a search bar and it looks nice

All I know is that the Wii Shop Channel is TERRIBLY designed, you can't even view decent screens of the f'n games for Christ's sake let alone some gameplay movies (and don't get me started on the complete lack of demos), and the overall layout and design is a mess too.

If the BBC could design something like the iPlayer on Wii, and let me say that I really like the design they have used, then why the hell can't Nintendo manage something at least as nice and well laid out as this!

Honestly, I can't believe how badly laid out everything is on the Wii Shop Channel. I mean the few WiiWare demos they have are stuck under the View By Genre option rather than being a self contained Demo option!

What I like about each

• XBL: Very neat. Plain and simple.
• Wii: Appealing to the eye and well organized. Has a bunch of content though that doesnt have much to do with the topic.
• Psn: Very sexy looking. Hah! Cant believe I think that about a store menu but what can I say?
• steam. Good ads that dont agravate me but give me info on things which I find useful. Pretty well sorted out but could use a little tuning.

Its the rebel way I would normally want to say but You're guess is as good as mine There is nothing wrong with it if its fully fleshed out content and the system has been provided with a sufficent hd amount. Only content I have problems with are weak ass add ons that are more expensive than 2.99 like map packs and character skins. Sf and cod, Im looking at you. Its the consumers money though. Not mine thankfully. Love ya horse armor! Thankfully there are sales on All D.D for the most part on steam and psn. Even though Ive used the wii store plenty( Back when I played wii ) and a good amount of 360 I dont usually see sales for them. Are there sales on these stores?

I actually like the ps3 store's layout. Everything is easy

However, xbox live seems to have more content, and both have great video services

DD is good some games you wont find in stores anymore like PS1 classics games.Now DLC is the evil way overpriced

XBL marketplace i've used it often and its easy to find things in it.
The only thing about the psn marketplace thats easy is the search bar.

Defanatly Xbl, the layout is quick and easy to just see any recent or old games filled with screenshots videos and demos in about 5 seconds.

Wii shop is just...awful.... *Main menu* select wiiware *Wait 30 seconds* select search *30 seconds* buy item *1 minute* download item *10 minutes*

I like the wii shop channel, because the remote makes it really easy to navigate, but there are long loading times, which i am NOT into.

XBL is pretty good, although it often takes me a while to find anything that I want.

I've only briefly browsed PSN, but everything seemed pretty easy to navigate, and it wasn't as slow and the WSC.

I'd say the PSN. but I've never bought anything on it, as I don't own a PS3, and out of the other 2, I'd have to say I much prefer the WSC, not necessarily for content, but for its layout and ease of navigation.

PSN store. It's well organized, searchable and the new releases are sorted with the newest at top to oldest at the bottom. I haven't used the Wii shop channel at all though.

1. you can download free demos of nearly every single game that will come out. not all, but from now on, every game will have a demo.

2.how can it be terribly designed, its so easy to use that my 6-year old cousin knows how to use it:| i mean, you just point and click on what you want its SO easy and basic.

While the PlayStation Store can sometimes be frustrating, I prefer it to the Marketplace. Never used Wii Shop Channel.

I wasn't speaking about the download times; I'm speaking about the load times between screens and starting up the channel.It's way too sluggish,especially when starting up channel and taking in consideration how simple the channel really is.

I like the PSN Store the best, the What's New tab has everything I need to see for the week in an instant.

Wii downloads DO NOT exceed 40MB, how on earth did it take 30 minutes?

i've never had a wii download take more than 1-3 minutes

Heck i download 1GB in about 10-15 minutes usually

PSN = XBLM > Wii

I don't like XBLA layout, I get lost, and sometimes have to jump through hoops to find stuff i want.

PSN is well organized, and so is Wii Shop Channel.

in my opinion it's PSstore > Marketplace . cannot say about the wii shop channel since i dont have a wii.

PS store has always struck me as easy to navigate to findd what i need. Most of the time i just want to see whats just been released that week and i find it alot easier to the marketplace.

BUT i will say one thing.... for video rentals, marketplace >>>>>>>>>>>>>> PS store... goddamn i was disappointed in the PS store. renteed a movie and found myself waiting till the next day to watch it (download was going slower than the movie length) whereas on the xbox i can watch it within a couple of minutes after the download staarted.
