[QUOTE="SW__Troll"][QUOTE="campzor"] because i would want to play ALL my games ive bought for the system and not having to choose which to bring when i could bring them all. Not that it affects me that much...as i usually game at home... but its more convenient to have them all in 1 place. And what if i misplace a game and i lose it? I can just redownload it again. Im sure other ppl can list other reasonscampzor
Yah, I agree a digital library sounds like the best option for handheld gaming, however I've never known PSN for dropping the price on games. I don't know how many times I checked my PSP for a title to download only to see games at full retail price. They weren't even new in a lot of cases.....
Then you just go to Best Buy, and buy it for $10.....
I wish Sony, as well as MS and Nintendo, would take some notes from Steam and have much better deals far more often.
havnt really checked out prices for psp games till recently...but i know they have given discounts for ps3 games. I bought for my vita gta: vice city stories for $11 (AU) which was on i believe 50% price cut.A game like Ace Combat : Joint Assault which retails for as low as $10 bucks in some places is still $40 bucks.
This is a game that came out on August 31st, 2010. about a year and a half ago.
It's also not a major hit game series either, just one that can keep chugging along. It's one of my favorite series and it's one of the reasons i'm holding on picking it up for my Vita, because it COULD be any day now that Sony will cut the price.
This is the major problem that Sony, and Microsoft/Nintendo have, they're games do not lower in price like brick and mortor game stores or like Steam does. If the big three were more competitive there is no doubt that they would end up seeing more profit.
In the dawn of the mobile game phones, i'm hoping Sony will get the message. hoping that is. the 10% discount is a sign of how they want to shift their business model, which will be fine if your a day 1 buyer (more often not someone like me), but it doesn't help them for those who wait for others to drop prices.
They do do price drops, Assassin's Creed : Bloodlines is 20 bucks, which to me... is a fair price. but still it should not take as long as it does.
