PS2 vs Xbox vs GameCube [POLL]

lets end this last gen battle, which console was the best.

PS2, hands down all I got to say is MGS 3(cuz the gamecude got a remake of MGS1 and the xbox got a port of MGS2), Kingdom hearts 1&2 andGod of War 1&2. the PS2 was a great console and is said to be the best console of all time but which do u think is best

I prefered the Gamecube.

I'd say xbox, a MUCH needed step forward in controller ergonomics, console graphics, online and hardware

GC for me for Metroid Prime alone, PS2 had alot of great games, but IMO it didn't have any of the best games of the gen except RE4, but the GC had the better version.

xbox

the graphics were better, it popularized online play for consoles and had a lot of hidden gems. Ps2 and gamecube were good also, pretty much last gen was awesome for consoles and you really couldnt go wrong with any of them

PS2 gave me MGS, DMC3 and GoW. Although Gamecube gave me WW, MP and SSBM. I never liked the original Xbox, so for me that comes in last for last gen.

PS2, best games, best sales, etc.

Hardware or software? Hardware, Xbox wins as the PS2 was a pile of junk. Software the PS2 win easily though, it simply had more games to choose from, although the grafix on multiplats were inferior on the PS2.

Ps2 and Gamecube were great. Xbox, not so much... Probably had less than 10 interesting exclusives.

I love all three of those machines...they gave me such joy.:P

That's honestly hard to say for me. PS2, probably. GC is very close behind it.

Just like this gen, and every gen before and to come...THEY were ALL good. I bought all 3 last gen at launch. I have over 100 games for each still to this day. They all have goods and bads. No different from any other gen.

I also was an early adaptor of LIVE when it came out and played Return To Castle Wolfenstien online all the time. I also got HALO before the Xbox even came out...Great times...PS2 got my attention with games like SSX/Tricky,SOCOM,Unreal Tournament, Quake Arena. While GC got my time with games like Mario Sunshine, Metroid, Zelda, Star Wars, ect...

I cant vote on which is better for any gen as I love games. NOW voting for worst controller ever..That I can do. N64,GC,DC win that award..

I loved my gamecube with SUper Mario Sunshine Metroid Prime and Melee just as much as I loved my PS2 with Ratchet and Clank okami and Sotc, just as much as I loved my Xbox with Halo Mechassault and Jet Set Radio Future

GC has alot of games I love, but PS2 did have 3 of my all time favorite games.

PS2 all the way.I wouldnt live last gen without SotC,Final Fantasy,MGS and many other jrpgs.

Yeah, the initial "Duke" was horrible, but the later model was great. And still, the games it did have were as a matter of fact, pretty darn good, like Ninja Gaiden, Halo CE and Conker Live and reloaded

The PS2 was one of the best systems ever.

...Which is why the PS3 is such an embarrassing disappointment.

I never really liked the ps2 as much as everyone else did. Great system, but idk I never really got into the games it had. I loved the gamecube exclusives sooo much though. I just thought they were more fun to play. And it had my favorite controller. And the original zbox had brilliant hardware, great controller for shooters, built in HDD and online set up.. but seriously it was a halo player, I really wasn't a fan of anything else it offered.. waaay too lacking in software.

Last gen, the Xbox was my favorite, followed by the Gamecube, and the PS2 was last.

This gen the PS3 is my favorite, followed by the Wii, and the 360 is last.

Ps2 duhh!! :P then gamecube and xbox is all the way in the corner lmao. I dont even remember enjoying it :/

Nothing could top the PS2 and it's strong library of exclusive games.

Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, Jak 3, Sly Cooper, Sly 2, Sly 3, Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2, Downhill Domination, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss, Bully, Naruto Ultimate Ninja (series 1-4), Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist, FMA 2, God of War andGod of War 2.

Gamecube comes in second and Xbox in third.

The Gamecube had Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Brother's Melee and Tales of Symphonia. Tales of Symphonia is one of the greatest games of all time and Melee is a classic.

All the Xbox had was Halo, Halo 2, Fable and....Jade Empire.

I have to choose the Gamecube... it was hella fun.

Gamecube had the best exclusives.

Definitely XBOX for me.

And it wasn't Live that sold me (and I still don't have Live).

It was:

1. 8GB HDD
2. Halo
3. Games & Genres it focused on
4. 4 controller ports
5. break away cords
6. custom soundtrack ripper
7. DVD player (despite a remote dongle needed)
8. S-controllers

ps2 had the best games period, HELLOO, its still living, it sold 140 mill consoles, the xbox died in not even 5 years, so did the gamecube

The GC is very underrated. But the PS2 is godly.

However...the GCN got some of the best games of last gen...it just didn't get a lot.

Ps2 - GoW 1+2, MGS 2+3, Ratchet & Clank 2+3, Jak and Daxter, Devil May Cry

All awesome games, all exclusives, Ps2 FTW!

My preference: Gamecube > PS2 > Xbawx

or it can be argued that PS2 > Gamecube > Xbox

But that's just me.
