So PS3 came out on Oct 21st...I thought it was Nov 14 or 17 something like that. Oh well atleast it still sold 5 million + with no games and a high price point.

The PS2 had Metal Gear Solid 2, Grand Turismo 3, Final Fantasy X, GRAND THEFT AUTO 3 and Devil May Cry all in its first year. (2001)

That's what killed the Xbox and Gamecube right from the start.

Yeah, it's been a pretty bad year for the PS3, but hopefully Uncharted and R&C will be a sign of good things to come.

Multiplat games? Yes but we cant help that the 360 took a jump start of a year (66% RROD rate). Not to mention the fact that I've been playing GT5 prologue all day today because it's so good. Imagine that, a demo of a demo being amazing.

Sorry. I was never really into that game but I should have added it because of the reviews and love it got from ps3 owners

1 year, WTF are you talking about? The ps3 came out November 11 for only North America and Japan. It's still october... And what is this talk of no games. The ps3 has Resistance, motorstorm, heavenly sword, and warhawk. All AA exlusives on gamerankings. But... but... they were teh flops!!! Just because it's a flop doesn't mean it's not a good/great game.

Like the first year matters anyway. FYI, the PS3 is going to be around for at least 4 or 5 years. It's still got more than 80% of it's life left to get some more good games. The 360 didn't get many of it's big hitters like gears of war or halo 3 till almost a 1 year or more after it's launch as well!!

Not to defend Sony or anything, but the Xbox360 had it first real app "Gears of War" just went it turned 1 year old. The PS3 will get Uncharted and Ratchet on it's birthday (not saying killer, but they have possibilities) and the Wii is getting Mario as a birthday present. xooco

i dont fully agree, but i see your point, remember that back then the 360 was the only console on the market, and so the only console that had= spinter cell, R6V, Oblivion, GRAW, and basically all the good games that the ps3 ''stole'' for lack of a better word, for its launch line up, ithad a great first year when comparing to the ps3, sice now those games are year old multiplats, but were fresh and exclusive for the 360.

Because its true. The launch was horrible, but now the Ps3 has 3 AAA titles and and 28 AA titles, with 3 promising titles coming within the next two months. If you are a PS3 only owner, you've hardly been deprived over the last year.

Poor casuals thought their highly price console would have better graphics, and more games like it did last gen (thats more games last gen not better graphics) , but alas no. The cows and cowsuals were tricked by the serpents at Sony and have so far been left in the cold with zero exclusive AAAs and inferior graphics to their cheaper competitor.
