2008 could look like this

• Uncharted Drake's Fortune
• Killzone
• White Night Story
• Eight Days
• MGS4 (the majority of system wars says 2008)
• Tekken 6
  
• FFXIII
• Resistance 2 (they can pump out a game a year)
  

2009 might look like this

• Gran Turismo 5
• FF versus XIII 
• God of War III (2005 , 2007 , 2009 = good assumption)
• The Getaway
• Motorstorm 2
  

Where will these games fit in 2008-9 ?

• Socom
  
• Wipeout
• Team ICO game

More franchises 

• Jak and Daxter
• Twisted Metal

Sales are going to be awful until the end of fall/winter and the haters will celebrate (and cows/manticores might be worried) but the ps3 is nicely set up for the future and we all know that a big price drop should be coming by early next year at the latest.

PS3 =/= 3DO or Dreamcast for those who think it will not survive. It should be fine right ?

FF13 isn't using Unreal Engine 3 and it is PS3 exclusive.Ben3128947

I agree with GOW3 for 2009. I think GT5/FFXIII will hit 2008. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is rumoured for early 2008. MGSIV will probably hit early 2008.

2008 is a huge year for the PS3. It's where it will take over the competition due to the games being released. That's what I think anyway.

LittlebigPlanet and home is goin to be big..and there is some more games like war devil and etc..i think sony will pick up sales around the end of this year and next ..

Yeah LBP and Home plus Lair, Heavnely Sword, Ratchet (Wardevil '08?? I'm not sure)  But those prior games will be big this year as far as exclusives.  Plus DMC4 and GTA IV,  lots of great PS3 games a comin'

Dude, on no article has ffxiii lost exclusivity. The ffxiii series as a whole was never exclusive to one platform. Where are you getting this confirmation? Out of your shred of lemming hope?

Why buy it anytime soon? Why not wait till Winter of 2008. Should be 100-200dollars cheaper then. And maybe by then the games people are hyping will all be out.

The Final Fantasy XIII project as of right now consists of two games for the PlayStation 3 as well as a mobile game.  Motomu Toriyama of Square Enix has come out and made the confirmation that other consoles will be receiving Final Fantasy XIII on top of the PlayStation 3.
