ps3 20gb comes with no hdmi cable and cannot expand to wifi 499$

xbox360 elite, hdmi cable, microphone,controller,120gb hdd 480$

your choice, blu ray or 120 gb hdd. lol

xbox360 is less of a rip off because, ps3 you cannot buy wifi adapter only avalible on 599$ 60gb ps3.

ps3 60gb is actually better deal than xbox360, but on xbox360 you know why you paying more money? you get superior graphics processing unit and unified memory architecture, ps3 uses out of date memory architecture set up lol.

LOL...so you think the PS3 20gb not coming with an HDMI cable is a rippoff but charging more for a console with some more memory and HDMI is great deal even though for around the same price you got a console with free online, the ability to upgrade its memory to any size using standard HDDD, HDMI capable and blu ray player. Your just being silly. I have a 20gb and I can upgrade to wifi easily thanx to the usb ports and I can put a 300gb HDD if I so choose but I would rather have blu ray. Because at the end of the day my console will be used to take advantage of my 1080p TV with games and movies while the 360 will not have that same feature. Paying almost the same as the 20gb for the ability to have HDMI and more memory hardly trumps, free online, charger for controller in console, blu ray player, and upgradable features in the PS3 20gb.

Lol...says you but devs like Kojima and SOnys 1st parties are already taking advantage of it. And as for the HD DVDs portable feature, when someone spends 2000-3000 dollars on a 1080p TV 40-50" do you think they wanna watch the movie on their laptop or computer. Come on, that is hardly a feature especially when you pay 200 dollars for an HD DVD player which has fewer quality movies and uses VGA.

IMO, HD-DVD has the better movies

Blu-Ray has a LOT more movies, but who cares about watching hitch, or Bridge to teribithia in HD???

with Universal, HD-DVD has some great HD fims (King Kong, Chronicals of Riddick, etc)

you can barly tell the difference between vga/dvi/hdmi maybe alittle better colors, if you have a good quality vga cable, the the image quality will practically be the same, plus there's places where you can buy 360 hd-dvd for 149$.

You can also use component cables.

blu ray movies have no 720p option so if your tv doesnt support 1080p image will be downgraded to 480p ive read on forums.

Please dont be ignorant, you list old movies like those are the only ones. Blu ray has Casino Royal, Saw, etc..... Blu ray is getting more movies all the time and has more studio support. For you to say that Blu ray doesnt have quality movies is naive seeing as Sony makes their movies exclusive for it and they broke the box office records last year and the previous record was theres too. So its obvious that the popular movies are on Blu ray as opposed to HD DVD where Batman Begins was the highest selling movie on that format for like ever because of the few variety it had.

360 gives the next generation to everyone it can, whereas the ps3 forces its version of it on you. ps3 makes out thats its as good as a computer but so far the 360 has shown that it can evolve to wat people want (lol sony internet, back to the drawing board i say)

i was just stating my opinion...yes Casino Royale was good, but i really dont see any other movies on Blu-Ray that interest me, and thats why i went with HD-DVD

any, I mean ANY USB WIFI ADAPTER works on PS3, and ANY SATA HARD DISK DRIVE works on PS3. there is a youtube video, where a guy shows how he upgraded his 20GB PS3 to 200GB and WIFI, and everything just cost him under $100, he was criticising people for buying 60GB PS3. give me a sec, I'll find the video.

xbox360's hd-dvd is portable and can be used on the computer like a laptop home pc, ps3's blu ray cant lol...so kinda advantage there...the only real advantage ps3 has is storage space, devs aint never gonna take advantage of it though.

And as for the HD DVDs portable feature, when someone spends 2000-3000 dollars on a 1080p TV 40-50" do you think they wanna watch the movie on their laptop or computer. Come on, that is hardly a feature especially when you pay 200 dollars for an HD DVD player which has fewer quality movies and uses VGA.

you can barly tell the difference between vga/dvi/hdmi maybe alittle better colors, if you have a good quality vga cable, the the image quality will practically be the same, plus there's places where you can buy 360 hd-dvd for 149$.

You can also use component cables.

blu ray movies have no 720p option so if your tv doesnt support 1080p image will be downgraded to 480p ive read on forums.

Wrong TVs that suppport 720p always support 1080i as well and when a blu ray movie is on the PS3 it plays at 1080p or when not available 1080i for 720p TVs. Do some research before you speak so certaintly.

xbox360 is less of a rip off because, ps3 you cannot buy wifi adapter only avalible on 599$ 60gb ps3.

any, I mean ANY USB WIFI ADAPTER works on PS3, and ANY SATA HARD DISK DRIVE works on PS3. there is a youtube video, where a guy shows how he upgraded his 20GB PS3 to 200GB and WIFI, and everything just cost him under $100, he was criticising people for buying 60GB PS3. give me a sec, I'll find the video.

ive never messed with wifi, i used wired connection, but from what i read the wifi adapter has to be made to for ps3 to work, just like xbox360 needs wifi just made for it to work.

with Universal, HD-DVD has some great HD fims (King Kong, Chronicals of Riddick, etc)

Please dont be ignorant, you list old movies like those are the only ones. Blu ray has Casino Royal, Saw, etc..... Blu ray is getting more movies all the time and has more studio support. For you to say that Blu ray doesnt have quality movies is naive seeing as Sony makes their movies exclusive for it and they broke the box office records last year and the previous record was theres too. So its obvious that the popular movies are on Blu ray as opposed to HD DVD where Batman Begins was the highest selling movie on that format for like ever because of the few variety it had.

The hardware setup of both systems is quite different but performance-wise they are nearly equal, Xbox360 having a small edge as of now, but look at the age difference of the consoles, Xbox360 Elite? Yea great, I can buy a 100GB harddrive for 60 Dollars and slap onto a PS3 which already has all the features mentioned.

FF13,MGS4 are using bluray so far at least, this is the frist year, expect more of it.

Not that I'm a cow, wish I could have both tbh.
