Not saying it will work... just putting it out there. It has long ways to go before it does it well.[QUOTE="Cow_tipping"]

Oh wow 1 game.
Crysis 2. And it does it without any performance loss.I find so yes.
any form of Pseudo 3d is overated and worthless to me, I think of Pseudo 3d as a gimmick and a gimmick only. So yes Any form of pseudo 3d is overated including ps3's capability.

from what i understand ps3 can do tru stereoscopic 3d(producing two images) while 360 can only have a fake 3d(zbuffer tech)
correct me if i am wrong_Matt_
I think both can do stereoscopic.
but dosnt stereoscopic reuire HDMI 1.4 the reason y ps3 is able to do bcoz its HDIMI register is progamable![QUOTE="_Matt_"]

If that is not the case, is the 360 still stuck on HDMI 1.2b?

Hahas ok, I would double check, but its midnight here anyway, so although it is earlier than there, it is still fairly late and too tireed to look that sort of stuff upo! Im sure someone will correct us if we are wrong!
3D in general is overrated. It's nothing more than a gimmick that'll be dead once more in the years to come.

Agreed. Besides, I only have vision in my left eye so I can't see 3D anyway.

Those TVs can turn any game, TV show, or movie into 3D. The 360 has nothing to do with it. :|
the 360 does have something to do its playing the game but i would like to know how its possible because i would think that just converting 2d to 3d from a tv might lower the quality but from the ign preview if cod bo in 3d the guy said it looked great and it looked the same as the demos for ps3 and pc

So it's overrated because your physically unable to experience it?
That's like being impotent and telling us that sex is overrated.
Why overrated?? If it works, it's not.
You probably meant the PS3 capabilities as you're pointing out how the 360 could also display 3D graphs.

Yes they do :| They don't look as good as "proper" 3D, but they do it3D in general is overrated. It's nothing more than a gimmick that'll be dead once more in the years to come.

I feel the same way, but many seem to like the idea so who am I to judge? I just hope it doesn't effect the overall quality of games I enjoy as a result of working on 3D. I know I'll be turning off the 3D effect on my future 3DS as well - I've heard concerns regarding eye sight when viewing 3D over a long period of time. I don't know if there is any truth behind that, but I'm not going to risk it on something I find distracting & don't really enjoy anyway.

correct me if i am wrong The 360 can do either method.[QUOTE="Mystic-G"]

That's why I'm not impressed with the 3DS... it doesn't really bring anything notable to the table aside from new hardware and 3D. Which is funny because the sheep like to come out and tout how Nintendo is so innovative and how the PSP2 will fail before anyone knows anything about it.but dosnt stereoscopic reuire HDMI 1.4 the reason y ps3 is able to do bcoz its HDIMI register is progamable![QUOTE="fezano"]

This isn't much of a problem if Sony isn't delivering impressive/smooth 720p 3D with their studios. Most console 3D games will cutback on resolution, geometry, or do cheaper 2D + depth. It's only an issue when it comes to 3D games in HD. 360 would then have to support a HD res compliant with 1.4. They can't do 720p like the PS3, but they could go higher. Only problem is were talking about HW from 2006. Its a pipe dream. Please Log In to post.
