PS3 60 Gig died, so i was Forced to get 360 Elite, I'm not happy.

Yeah well i was a happy Sony owning, RROD free PS3 user for a long time, until one day when waiting for Fallout 3 to load the dreaded PS3 black screen of death came up.

Most say it's equivalent to 360's RROD , well anyway, i'm one of those people who love backwards compatibility so i didn't opt for an 80gig PS3, so, even though i wasn't sure whether i'd get the new 360 jasper chip or not i picked up the 360 Elite G.O.T.Y. edition with Halo 3 and Fable 2.

360, at least has some backwards compatibility, and even though i just heard that the fans of G4 TV's X-PLAY just voted 360 as the best console of the year, i still find no comfort in owning one, i've just been burned too many times in the past with thee old RROD.

Now every time i use it i wonder when it's going to happen, today, tomorrow, next week, next month, i just can't get it out of my head that it will die on me one of these days and then what do i do, i don't trust 60 gig PS3 refurbs from Ebay or Gamestop, so thats out.

you were happy with your ps3, and you dont like the 360... yet you chose to buy a 360 rather than getting your ps3 repaired? :?

You could have spent $100 or so to have Sony fix it. Saved $300 used that to buy a 360 pro then have both consoles. So that way if one dies, you still have the other

ur one of the rare unlucky few having ur ps3 die hehehe.

thankfully both my 360 and ps3 never showed a sign of error :)

Where do you live in a box? you know the consoles need to breath too, That's more than bad luck for you cause you said you had many xbox 360's RROD on you and then the PS3 there's got to be something your doing worng with your consoles just my 0.02 cents, I'm not flaming you just getting my opinon out to you.

PCs doesn't have any games that are good that aren't already on consoles. Don't even mention WoW or any RTS.

heres the difference

your PS3 may be out of warranty in 1 year

your 360 won't be. if e74 or RRoD happens you get it fixed for up to 3 years. it sucks losing it for a week or two but it gets fixed 4 free

isnt an elite the same price as a ps3? or did they drop it? i dont remember.

TC should of just got his 6-gb ps3 repaired especially if he plays a lot of ps2 games. It only cost $149.99 to get it repaired last time I checked if you live in the US.

Yea you can do this. also did you not know the elite is dropping $100 next month?

If my 60GB ever died I'd just shell out to get it repaired, from a hardware standpoint by far the best console ever made.

That's almost 2 PS3's. Everyone complains about PS3's price all the time, what makes you think someone would be willing to spend that much. Plus, not everyone has the ability to order the right parts and construct them to make a PC.

Well just so you know, they only came out with that bundle to get rid of the remaining elites without the jasper chip, so you didnt get it.
