It's true that casuals are too stupid to see past the initial price differences. But saying this is just admitting you're as naive and ignorant as they are. 360 is cheaper to start with. If you play XBL, it's more expensive over 4-5 years, if you need Wifi in your house, it's an extra $100, want to play HD movies? - $200, want to recharge your controllers? - $20 each, want an HDD upgrade? - $180 (when the 120GB generic ones for PS3 cost around $80). If you want/need ANY and I mean ANY of the 360's accessories or services then you are paying the same or a hell of a lot more than for a PS3, period. Saying anything otherwise is just admitting you're an ignorant casual. Saying MS's pricing scheme is screwing everybody but will help win because people are too stupid to think of future costs, then yes, there is a point there.

That is a very poor argument because money is money at the end of the day. I am not going to simply forget about xbox live fees over the years.

Ya and you can forget about having decent online. You can forget about getting a headset or hdmi cable or media center extender included ( I threw that in because in two seconds you would of hit the quote button to mention blu-ray). You can also forget about the $200 additional dollars just to play Resistance and Oblivion. When there are over 50 AA titles for 360 and a handful of AAA titles.
BTW I have PS3 and 360 and PS3 doesn't match up no matter how it's spun.

the ellite 360 is 500 bucks, plus 50 for live that is 550 there v 600 for ps3. for 50 bucks more you get blu ray. regardless if PS3 cost more then 360, no one can say PS3 is overpriced.

That is so true. My ps3 cost $599 plus the hdmi cable $30 plus resistance and vf5 $120. Thats $749. My 360 cost $399 plus the charging cable $20 plus Gears plus FEAR plus Lost planet plus Dead Rising plus Condemned plus Crackdown plus Battle Stations Midway plus Star Trek Legacy and now I have to spend even more money on Command and Conquer 3, and I think I am forgetting a game or two, and a year of live $4. That's $999! What a rip!
When people compare prices about consoles, why do cows always say we need to buy 4 years of xbox live? I don't know anybody that's bought 4 years...? Maybe in 4 years you could use that arguement
I've got a 360, The only addon i've bought is xbox live which is £30. My xbox cost £300, it came with a game and an extra controller. That's £330, I can do everything I want to do for £330 where as if I bought a PS3 it would cost me over £425

The $600 gets you much much more so of course your paying more...... that $400 will get you a nice box to ship it back to microsoft if they dont sort out the hardware problems.
