Exclusive DLC is rarely announced before the game is released but the 360 hasnt gotten a lot of exclusive DLC recently. I guess if its a multiplayer game you will want to get it on the system where you have the most friends. Unless you have a controller that is modeled to your hands I dont see how this would make a difference.Just curious, if anyone has both the 360 and ps3 how do you decide which system to get multiplats on? I guess it's just the OCD in me, i have most everything on PS3.. the only thing i get on 360 are exclusives and party games like rockband...maybe i should add 1st person shooters to that list. just drives me nuts though that all the friends are on 360.. i guess i get lonley...
I use my 60 GB PS3 for PS1 & PS2 games, 1st & 2nd party PS3 & PSN exclusives, & Blu-Ray movies. The only time I buy a 3rd party game for the PS3 (and from PSN) is if it's exclusive to that platform or that it has first been developed off of the PS3's hardware (such as MGS 4, Metal Gear online, Tekken 6, & Final Fantasy XIII).
Other than that, I use my 360 for some 1st & 2nd party games, & mostly 3rd party games (including most of them off of XBLA).
I only buy exclusives on PS3. Multiplats on 360, mainly because I like the controler better. Also, multiplayer games are a definite buy on 360, because of the far superior Live.
depends on the genre and if the controller suits it better. IMO fighting games are better with the ps3 pad, and fps games are better on the 360. Also if ive been playing the series from its last gen, i may get it for the consoles sucessor ( prince of persia, tekken, just to name a few)
I love the 360 controller and (even though it's slight) the games being slightly better on the 360 is also a big push but it also comes down to a few other things Weather or not the game is a manditory install(if installed on the 360, am I getting a faster load) Load times altogether If the game runs in 1080P on the PS3 (all games can be upscaled on the 360) Downloadable content Graphics differents Frame rate differents FPS(I'll never chose a FPS on the PS3 if it's a mutiplat) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've only chose 2 games on the PS3 over the 360... Dark Sector and WWE 2009Shattered007You can upscale the games on PS3 too.
Big fan of the PS1 and PS2. I collect both consoles AND games, so because I grew up with Nintendo and Sony, I buy their consoles. The PlayStation controllers have also always been very comfortable for me.
Multiplats look better on the 360, and the 360 has the better controller....-GeordiLaForge-In your opinion of course. I prefer the Playstation controller because the controler isnt as bulky (like someone above said)

PS3 I get exclusives and fighting games (better d-pad)
360 I get exclusives and most multiplats (like the 360 controller why better for most genres)
I also like XBL alot better then PSN. And most my RL friends have both consoles, but everyone still plays on XBL.
multiplats get them on pc otherwise dont even botherJust curious, if anyone has both the 360 and ps3 how do you decide which system to get multiplats on? DLC? Single vs Multi Player? Controls?

No not by opinion, if you are a big guy like me with big hands there is no way you can label the Xbox 360 controller bulky.[QUOTE="shawn7324"][QUOTE="brennan7777"] In your opinion of course. The PS3 controller makes my hands ache after less than an hour. Too small, and my thumbs have to bend down in an uncomfortable manner to reach the sticks. When I pick up the 360 controller, my thumbs are automatically on the sticks.[QUOTE="shawn7324"] Hate Playstation controller, love superior Xbox 360 controller. I usually buy them for the PS3 because I prefer the controller and also because the PS3 is a more stable platform. That means that next gen ill probably be able to play ALL my PS3 games on my PS4, but I cant say I have the same confidence on the 360.
I do buy the 360 version however if it is superior in non-trivial ways, but now adays they are pretty much on par.
Depends on the game. FPS always go toward the 360. TPS/Action games goes toward the PS3. And games like RB/GH generally go toward the 360 due to LIVE. Sports games also go on 360 for LIVE (minus MLB The Show)

What gives you this idea? Unless you own one of the non-dumbed down PS3's, then right now you have to own a PS2 and a PS3 if you want to play last gen's and this gen's games. You can play virtually all original XBOX games on the 360.
whichever system you have more friends on first. if it has no multiplayer, idk. i only have a ps3 so im thinking of what i would do
You can upscale the games on PS3 too. You obviously don't have a 1080p tv.[QUOTE="Shattered007"]I love the 360 controller and (even though it's slight) the games being slightly better on the 360 is also a big push but it also comes down to a few other things Weather or not the game is a manditory install(if installed on the 360, am I getting a faster load) Load times altogether If the game runs in 1080P on the PS3 (all games can be upscaled on the 360) Downloadable content Graphics differents Frame rate differents FPS(I'll never chose a FPS on the PS3 if it's a mutiplat) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've only chose 2 games on the PS3 over the 360... You most certainly can not play virtually all of the Xbox games on the 360. There are a lot popular games, like Timesplitters and Stranger's Wrath, that still can't be played. The emulators that are out for a lot of those games also suck hard-boiled eggs. Frame-rate drops and sound drops are constant. You're not actually playing the game, you're just fumbling through it.

Well, I've never had any problems with any that I have played. I mean, I've only played all 4 Ghost Recon games, Crimson Skies, and The Thing, but they are glitch free. Also, a majority of last gen's games are better than none, right?[QUOTE="GrilledCharlie"]You can upscale the games on PS3 too. You obviously don't have a 1080p tv. Really? How about a 50 inch 1080p Panasonic Plasma and a 42 inch 1080p Sony LCD? All you have to do is go into the PS3 options and make 1080p the only resolution output. I admit that I didn't notice much of a difference, but on KZ2, which is native 720p, my tv says it's receiving 1080p.[QUOTE="Shattered007"]I love the 360 controller and (even though it's slight) the games being slightly better on the 360 is also a big push but it also comes down to a few other things Weather or not the game is a manditory install(if installed on the 360, am I getting a faster load) Load times altogether If the game runs in 1080P on the PS3 (all games can be upscaled on the 360) Downloadable content Graphics differents Frame rate differents FPS(I'll never chose a FPS on the PS3 if it's a mutiplat) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've only chose 2 games on the PS3 over the 360... My rechargeable battery packs last about five days. Also, if your battery dies in the PS3 controller, you have to either buy a new controller, use the ridiculously short charge and play cable, or spend money on the the longer charge and play cable.[QUOTE="Zain-Midori"][QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"]Multiplats look better on the 360, and the 360 has the better controller....GrilledCharlie

Controller, community, and online. So most of my multiplats are on 360, although PS3 is awesome in all of those, my preference goes to 360 in all of those, controller is just downright preference.
Community because in comparison there is only a small group of friends on my PS3, compared to my 360, and then there has been some horror stories for me with PS3 online until recently when it got fixed... So now that might as well be off the list.
I haven't noticed that at all. Okay...hold on...I'll be right back...gonna go test something real quick! Alright, So I was a little wrong. I hadn't tried forcing my PS3 to only reconize 1080P in about half a year. Anyway, It seems like one of the updates fixed the vertical hold problem. Now it wont allow you to only do 1080p. It also automaticaly has 480p on as well. Anyway, there are games (while select) that do upscale: MLB: The Show Killzone 2 Fight Night: Round 4 (Demo) Socom ---------------------------------------------------- At the same time, there are still games (new games) that don't upscale and defualt to 480p: WWE Raw V Smackdown 09 (max 720p) inFAMOUS (Max: 720p) X-men: Wolverine (Max: 720p) Moter Storm: Pacific Rift (max: 720p) Uncharted (max: 720p) ------------------------------------------------------------------- eigher way, this is still a reason to avoid some mutiplats on the PS3 (small as they may be).[QUOTE="GrilledCharlie"][QUOTE="Shattered007"] If you set the PS3 to only reconize 1080p and play a game that doesn't support it you get a nice vertical hold....Shattered007
