PS3 and 360 now under one roof and i still prefer PS3

Well i've often heard from 360 fanboys that told me i didn't know what i was talking about when comparing PS3 to 360 because i didn't own a 360 at the time, even though i have owned them in the past.

Well now my son traded in all his PS2 and gameboy stuff and emptied out his 2 change banks and scraped up enough money to get a 360 pro with Gears of War, Crackdown and Halo 3, and even though i've played all those games before i tried them again...and guess what ?

None of them compare to Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavenly Sword, or Resistance, so i went right back to playing my PS3 and have no desire to touch his 360 ever again, so much for the must have , so called superior 360 game library...been there done that, moving on to bigger and better system and games.

I prefer the PS3 when playing MGS4.

I prefer the 360 when I play Halo 3.

Just find the games you like and you can like "both" consoles.

I'm only on 360 now. But Thinking of getting a PS3. I know the games will be fine. I just hope the PS3 interface and the inter action with it is as seemleess as it is with the 360. Plus I hope the controller does't suck. I've tried them out at game stores and it just feels loose and alot of shooter games have you shooting from R1, why the heck is that.

The controller is not as good as the 360 controller. I mean the 360 controller is pretty much perfect, especially for shooters. But I would recommend getting a PS3. It's still not at the 360 level, but it's worth a buy for a few exclusives (I like LBP and GOW3). And it plays Blu ray movies (my main reason for buying it).

Why is the interface broken ?

No in-game XMB is my biggest gripe. Someone sends you a message while youre playing MGS4? You cant read it, you have to quit first. Also, its just not as well designed as the XBL blades and not as simple as the Wii channels. It takes too long to find things, expecially if you're searching through the settings. A simple thing like checking how much memory you have left on your HDD can be a pain.

The controller is not as good as the 360 controller. I mean the 360 controller is pretty much perfect, especially for shooters. But I would recommend getting a PS3. Actually in the upcoming PS3 update version 2.40 it will include XMB and the Trophy point system which is the equivalent to 360'S Achievement points, and then when PS3 Home is released, then what will you Xbox Live boys claim to have that we don't ? because by then not only will we have everything your so called great XBL has but we will have more with Home.

So now you may drool with envy to save yourself some time.

But it isnt. Theres so many options in the system section that they go off screen and you dont know where what is. Overall, i just think its a mess. Even little things like not being able to background download themes annoys me.

I cant say if the 360 has better games that the PS3....I havent played anything but Resistance, and that was nice. I played that while choosing which console I was going to get. I played Gears.....and I was S.O.L.D. At work we even have this converstaion about which console is better. Im usually the one that brings it to a hault by asking one question. If one console is better than the other......HOW MUCH it better. I do believe that the 360 is better than the PS3....thats my opinion. STILL I dont think that I would get a PS3 and return it because its garbage.

I want one, and I'll get it when a game that Im interested in gets released. I cant stand MGS....I never did. Is this current one better..C'mon...I can only imagine. I just dont like the story, or the silly stuff like explanation points over "aware" players. Anyway....back to my point. If the PS3 is better than the 360.....it wouldnt be by a landslide. Or vice versa. I would bet money that no one making comments toward any one of the consoles would turn ANY of them down.

Does the trophies contribute to you PSN "gamerscore" or is it just specific to that game.

What ever interface problem that there is should be fixed in 2.40.PS3 seems to have more features useless but more features like voice changer,web broswer, and ect.. The controller doesn't suck it is simlpe it doesn't come with a battery kit attached to the back.Besides all that controller sucks is bs it all depends on the person. Some prefer pc controlls some prefer the wii controllers. The games are inferior I will remember that while I am playing MGS4.Your just a crazy lemming who is new to this site. No they havent been around forever in leaderboards. Leaderboards are leaderboards. Achievements are specific task. If anyone doesnt like them....Ignore them. I like them.....me and my friends are often compairing how good we are in games and If one of them claims something....I'll look at the achievements. Back in the day..if someone said "hey I ended GTA in one day"....you had to take their word. NOW its an achievement. People will be achievement hogs....it doesnt matter....use them how you wish. You can see how far someone went in a certian game...whatever. You dont like em....just ignore em.

Movie marketplace, new marketplace blade, MSN messenger, rearranged button layouts on the blades, added Inside Xbox, numerous new settings such as background downloading etc. Thats just off the top of my head.
