PS3 and NA sales.

Did you guys know that PS3 is selling at a faster rate than xbox 360 was in NA when it was 3 months old?



It is demolishing it in Japan,



and when it launches in europe it will outpace it there as well.

WTF is the point of this when the 360 had much bigger production problems.  Don't you realize the 360 would have sold better if it was easier to find?  The PS3 didn't take near as long to keep up with production.

What is likely to happen this year in NA.

Roughly 250,000 on average for the first 10 months of the year .
500,000 in Nov
1,000,000 in December

4 million is my estimation.

But the fact of the matter is: PS3 is a worldwide console that appeals to every kind of gamer all around the globe.

It will be on the market longer than Xbox 360 also, and that will give it a huge advantage in terms of overall sales worldwide. It also adds alot of value to the consumer.

The fact that Xbox 360 will probably not reach much more than 1 million consoles sold in japan (if it reaches that number at all) gives PS3 at least an 8 Million unit advantage in overall hardware sales worldwide compared to Xbox 360.

Your graph says it all!  Who cares about Japan?  North American sales for the 360 are in the millions as where Japan is in the hundred thousands.  North America is what is important and so far your PS3 is 7 million behind. 

And if you think after Sony jacked up the price for UK, delayed the PS3 and then announced it will not have full reverse compatibility because of lack of hardware and you think it will outsell the 360, you are in denial.  Typical Cow.
