Yes, and they both suck. Wii is understandable, but its beyond my imagination why a powerful machine like the PS3 can't handle a simple web browser properly. But yeah, would have been nice a web browser for the 360 as well (one that works properly that is). Even though PS3 web browser is slow sometimes i use it - nothing like surfing the web right on my bed.DanBal76
Laptop?

Well, i don't have one, and as far as i know there aren't laptops with 32" screens ;)

The ps3 and the Wii's is esentially the same with nintendo updateing the chanelle to use keyboards. Maybe you should do some research b4 makeing such claims
The 360 also dosent have built in wifi, a news. and weather chanelle and a voting chanelle. Does that means it quadruple PWNED ?? :roll:Gh0st_Of_0nyx
Only the weather channel is pwnage, because you can check what the weather is like in ANTARCTICA! That should be a standard console feature.

Fellow gamer, of course i tried Wii's web browser, otherwise i would not make such claims. Maybe your Wii is a "special" edition, because "normal" Wiis have a slow web browser. I can understand you being a Wii fan, but i cannot understand you not admitting Wii's weakness. What would you expect from a machine with around 83 MB of RAM? Now PS3 has 512MB of RAM, but its web browser is slow as well, and that's not understandable. Did you get my point? I'm not bashing Wii or anything, calm down.
I have this thing called a computer to surf the internet
Maybe you should go on wikipedia through your ps3/Wii browser and look it up
Hold off on any pwnage there, big guy. While the PS3 does have a browser, I have found it able to view little more than youtube. I cannot come onto GS without it telling me the memory ran out. Most sites don't work because the flash and java are out dated.
Have you even tried using the browser, TC?
I can't say much for Wii, never used it.
The true pwnage for the next-gen consoles on non-game related features are the PS3 and 360 serving as media servers. Wii does not have this.
Its great. You can stream movies, pictures, and music from you PC, via your home netwrok, and play them on your 360 or PS3.
Now that's a cool feature!!!
lol, i suppose people should use their consoles for surfing the web instead of their pc's?
that's good. :|
rowzzr
Apparently, since most people here believe their consoles should watch dvd and hd movies like a actual movie player and play music like a audio player.
This topic gives me memories of the Dreamcast which had a web browser and there was a special keyboard. The memories of browsing porn from the comfort of my bedroom . . . . those were the days!
Anyways, the Wii's web browser is awesome. I use it all the time. THere are tons of wii-specific websites out there that really make the Wii's online capabilities worth it. Site's like finetune that basically turn your Wii into a radio station. I have tons of other sites that have similarly cool things. One site has a catalog of flash games that are mouse only so you can play them on your wii using the wii-mote. I've spent hours playing some of those random games. Being able to watch Youtube and Veoh vids on it is awesome. I just watched Saw 4 on my Wii though Veoh. I also check my e-mail browse the gaming forums and blog sites. It's really awesome. I'm glad Nintendo got Opera to do their browser then doing their own or having some second-rate no features browser. My PSP has a browser to but that crap sucks compared to the Wii's browser.
1. I never reallyuse those browsers past the initial first try.
2. Its nice to have the option tho.
3. Strange that the 360 doesn't have one.
4. Wii charges you for it? wtf? At least thise useless option is free on the PS3.
But does it really matter? Not really.

My 360 has a weather channel. It's called the window behind it. I can view it, often while still playing a game. I could be playing Halo 3, pause for just a sec and look out the window. Still sunny. Back to Halo...
It also has a news channel. It's called the newspaper on the couch where I'm playing Halo 3. I pause for a second, notice that the country is still being run by a bunch of complete incompetents. Back to Halo...
It also has a voting feature. It's called it's owner, me. In November, I'll get off of my couch, checking the 'weather channel' to see if I need a jacket, and go vote for some less incompetents to run the country for the next 4-8 years.
Ya got me on the wifi since my 360 is sitting under my television where the cable feeds directly to both. I guess I could spend $100 to feel less pwned..or I could use the money to buy a couple AAA games...

Did you see the sarcam in my post because it was THICK with it  and no the 360 dosent have any of those features all your doing is listing out side resources that werent built into the console. And Built in wifi should be standard on these consoles it's more usefull then you think.I was using the Wii browser to surf the internet when my computer couldn't get online for reasons I still don't understand, and it was painful. Using the Wiimote to search around a webpage is simply far slower than using a mouse with a scroll wheel. And the typing... *shudder*.
Let's just say I don't feel ripped off when I can't surf the internet on my 360.
