The signs outside of shops here in the UK trying to entice people to come in and take away their ps3s with price cuts and sales might have something to do with it. I think they've given up now though.
And it always will have launched a year earlier than PS3. Tracking slightly better than 360 did a year ago will leave the PS3 in third place for the entire generation.
the reason i think the ps3 sales are slowing down is because of its titles. after devil may cry 4 was announced for the 360 also, the ps3's hit titles went down.

That has been true for the 1st 4month, but not anymore, 360 took it over after 5 months... slow and steady... after the ps3's fast start it's running out of gas.
For all this talk comparing 360 first 5 months to PS3 first 5 months it does not matter either way. Worry to much about the past and you will be left there. As of right now 360 is winning in sales also winning in NA. Wii is in second also winning in Japan. and PS3 is in 3rd place and is not winning at any market. Europe is to early to say between the 3 since PS3 just lunched. PS3 are dropping really fast there though from what we do know.

yes, last month it did occur. and obviously because of the lack of good games... none of sony's praysed franchises and exclusives are out yet...

Because 360 had supply issues its first couple of months. PS3 is stocked in almost all regions and still is not selling.
I just went to Game Crazy and they had 2 used ps3 in stock. The guy behind the counter said that they have had four trade ins for 360's. I thought it was kinda funny.
