A weak game line up (pretty standard for a consoles first year), still waiting for Home, and now the console is dropping $100 in less than a year of it's release. Seems like a slap in the face to the early adopters.

Internally inside Sony this isn't a situation to be proud of, but looking from the outside and not owning oneYET I'm pretty happy:D, but I can only imagine what early adpotors feel.

early adapters of pretty much anything are usually pwned. Only the Wii adapters won't get owned, because the sells are doing too good for a drop anytime soon.

I used that deal at eb games to trade in my PS2 for $100.00 towards the PS3, so I really paid $499.00 in the first place, but basically that paid for tax's.

Price drop is a good thing for everyone. But this early is a slap in ps3 owner's face. Remember that some people paid $1000 for their ps3. LMAO

hell yes they are pwned. they don't admit it, and that's why it makes it even more laughable.

It's only a slap in the face if you haven't enjoyed your purchase. I've loved my PS3 and glad it will be getting to more people now.

The only people I think that have been owned are the ones who bought it off ebay for like 1000$ or more..

It's a good thing for anyone who doesn't own a PS3 and is looking to buy one. 360 owners at least had 2 years before a drop in price. (Is the 360 price drop confirmed?)

Yes. A pricedrop is a bad thing. We should be having price hikes instead.

I've been an early adopter of almost everything, but I got to play it way before the others didn't. That makes up the difference.

LOL. Good for everyone who doesn't own a PS3. Still, I suppose if Sony continues the more bang for the buck (rather than offering the console for cheaper), we'll be seeing a PS3 with a 1 TB HDD. ;)

Well, good for the consumer, but early on a bad sign overall, it just shows that its not selling like it should be.

I got mine at launch and although i would have preffered to pay 500 bucks instead i really don't feel "Pwned" I was mroe upset about the 360 elite which actual had a decent sized HDD and HDMI hookups, but i still didn't care that much. Things like this will always happen. THats like saying PS2 owners were owned when you cannow buy a ps2 for like 120 or whatever the current price is at.

while its about 1000 times better than anything ms has done so far (faulty consoles and a whole new sku with stuff old 360's cant do (like hdmi), it is hard to take, but price drops happen all the time. Happened on my TV about a month after i got it. As long and they don't make it do something my launch ps3 can't do, im fine. It happens.

ah yes, the rampant stories of people having 9 ps2's /sarcasm

360 is the worst built system ever. i desperately want one for gears and in time for halo 3 but theres no way i am biting until the falcon hits. Hopefully it wont have a breakage rate of over 50%.

Not as bad as 360 owners with the Elite.
