PS3 exclusives just feel....Stale

Besides Ratchet and Clank FTOD (awesome) the PS3 seems very different this gen when compared to the all mighty PS2. IMO it's the games, they just don't feel the same i.e. shallow. It seems that this gen Sony wants to tap the FPS market, which they almost had no peice of last gen.

examples: RFOM is now a franchise for some reason, KZ2, Haze, and alot of multiplats. Last year it was all 360 shooters and now it seems that Sony is following those footsteps.

Games like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword seem the most shallow though. Naughty Dog should have focused on a new Jak game rather than this, which i have no doubt that it will turn into another awful franchise. As for HS, I don't think that they are dumb enough to make a sequel (hopefully)

And then we get to MGS4. This series pretty much stayed the same, which is a good thing for it's fans. Not my type of game but it's hard to argue with so many fans.

The Playstation brand just feels a hell of alot different this gen......and that's not a good thing

Uncharted is a really good game...People say it was short but I think the pacing was really good. It's the only game so far this gen I've played more than once through from begining to end. The levels are brilliantly designed and very contextualized. Each new area is never generic, it fits into a greater picture, a fictional island though out carefully by the devs and brought to life via beautiful graphics. Gameplay is faced paced and fun.

That's my opinon on it anyway.

DISAGREED ! I am waiting for Heavy rain,Resistance 2,Gran Turismo 5,God of War 3,Little Big planet and alot more.These are some of the games which are gonna turn the tables.Every console takes its time to build up and PS3 is doing suprisingly well.Xbox360 was launched way ahead of PS3 thats the cause of small game library.Doesnt really matter though because we all know by the end of 2009 PS3 will outsell the 360.

i loved the ps2. there is just a lack of substance or fun factor in ps3 games, something i can't quite put my hands on. once im done with them i always think i should've rented them and i go back to playing my other systems.

Uncharted, and MGS4 are stale? Well lets see you play them on crushing and big boss difficulty, thats intense and fun :D cource you wouldn't know since you never played them.

The only game I figured that was something I should not look away from was MGS4 and Warhawk. I find the PSN games more entertaining then most of the exclusive retail games on the PS3. :? The 360 is different for me though because mostly every game on there looks like a must buy(The same thought occured while I owned the PS2).

But I see it changing now. The upcoming games look very interesting and must-buys.

I disagree. Only thing that doesnt feel "Playstation" about Sony this gen is their lack of 3rd party communication. The PS2 thrived on 3rd parties.

Anyway, I love alot of PS3 exclusives, and dont get how they feel stale.

Im guessing you've never played warhawk??? i mean i love my 360 as much as the next person, but how can you NOT have fun with warhawk??? I mean i suck so bad its not even funny, but its still fun!! lol Uncharted and Heavenly sword are fun as well

MGS3 is prolly the best in the franchise, though still not my taste of game

i have. The only game i mentioned that i didn't play was MGS4, but i watched a friend play it for a good deal of time. Also haven't played WarHawk.

I think that Warhawk is a must have. Its really fun.

well everyone is free to express his/her personal opinion, but surely PS3's exclusives are fun... I enjoyed all of them and look forward to the ones which are coming up.. (LBP, Motorstorm2, SOCOM, R2, KZ2, Heavy Rain, Infamous, GOW3 etc etc)
