[QUOTE="usmcjdk6"][QUOTE="dgsag"][QUOTE="usmcjdk6"][QUOTE="dgsag"][QUOTE="usmcjdk6"] So I'm looking at March numbers for PC sales in the EU and Germany.
In the EU Crysis never broke 6th.
In Germany Crysis fluctuated between 1st and 4th. Germany's software sales during Crysis' release period have also been less than 700mil USD. Add in the inflated prices, and you've got a market about 1/16th the size of the US market.
EA is lying hermits. Sorry...

Ever consider counting DD? Gamestop, D2D, and EA Link have sold it since day one.
According to the full article at http://www.gamerscircle.net/2005/01/11/wow-breaks-sales-records/
World of Warcraft has sold an AMAZING 82k units. Wow, how stellar, it's painfully obvious that this will significantly bump up the total sales of PC game juggernaut World of Warcraft.
Get your head out of your rectum. EA LIED.
And yet there's 10 million active subscribers out there. Whose case are you trying to help, yours or mine?
So the largest PC selling game barely manages to sell 82k on DD? Yet Crysis which has afforded us NO SALES PROOF is somehow managed to garner hundreds of thousands.
I'm not saying PC game is dying. I'm saying EA is lying about Crysis sales.
WHAT PROOF IS THERE? Why would a company lie about its sales? EA has been upfront about what has sold well and what hasn't. Why would they specifically LIE about 3 million?
It's a flagship title that, for the most part, has flopped on sales. People don't normally buy what doesn't sell well. EA has every reason to boost this titles performance up waaaaay higher than it actually is. I'd put the number closer to 1.7-2 million and that's still stretching it. If 3 million people owned an 8 month old PC game, I don't care how good or bad the online is...PEOPLE WOULD BE FLOODING ONLINE.
