So, spelling lessons aside, I honestly wonder why people post without using thier heads. Quoted above for a prime example.
What? A big console FPS vs a big PC fps and the console one wins in sales. So to say "WOW a third the sales means PC gaming is still going strong!" is smart?

Halo 3 had a $10 million marketing budget followed with glamourous launch party. I'd be really worried if Halo 3 actually didn't made such success.
True and good point (wanker moment "So, spelling lessons aside," [I know that was a grammatical error but i just love internet intelectual nazis]) but Crysis's reveiw scores are no better and after the dev said crap like 'we are doing things 5 years ahead of any console game in terms of gameplay" thats a slap in the face
They are both big in compeltely different ways, appealing to hugely different audiance ( mostly ).
Comparing same genre game sales across platforms is pointless, ONLINE FPS is pretty new to consoles, it has that magical "wow" fad time to it.
Halo appealed to all the casuals in the right way, didnt take any chances, Crysis appealed to the more hardcore, took many chances ( and failed with its online ), took a massive chance with hardware requirements ands till sold 3 million.
Not to mention its always been this way, PC games dont mass sell in the first day, with exceptions like WoW expansions... but sell alot more over the years.
