Ps3 for the long run.

Every day this board gets flooded with people supporting one console without giving the other a chance.

I own and love both consoles but the 360 is beating the ps3 in sales by a ton but in the end i think that ps3 will win.

Why? Not only becase of the games but because of the pure power inside of ps3. Sure, at the moment 360 games look almost as good as ps3 games and the gameplay is also strong but in the future developers will learn ow to use os3's power to make brilliant games where as curently the 360 is at it's peak in developing terms.

The graphics in 360 games are great but they will not get much better. Neither will the gameplay whereas the ps3's games have room to improve in all aspects of game making. The rsx chip will ensure this.

In short terms the 360 is great and at the moment rivalling the ps3 but soon the developers will take control of the ps3 properly and make some real kick-ass games

Oh I don't doubt that many people have had it happen to them, but I also think that when compared to the many, many more people who haven't had one break on them, the problem isn't quite as a bad as it's made out to be on the internets.  And if it really were that terrible, there would have certainly been a recall.

BBC Watchdog did a special on how unreliable the hardware is. IGN has had almost all of their 360's go at one point in time. It's a real problem.

TC, I do think that the PS3 will be better in the long run. There are already a lot of 360 games that have trouble holding down a decent framerate sometimes.

How the hell do you know what the 360 is capable of graphically? Are you telling me that the 360 has reached its full potential in a year?Verge_6

Because the developers have pushed the graphis engine  to it's limit whereas the ps3 can produce games with the graphics getting gradually better  for longer

No that is not all my proof. In fact it is only a small version of the amount of sites which show and tell ps3's ability to produce better graphics than the xbox 360.samtheprankster

With HD the colors are richer, the graphics crisper and the overall experience better.

Ummmm, the first link you sent has a date of May 2005!  And i wont be checking out any Mac sites for an unbiased view of M$ gaming anytime soon!  You can send outdated link all you want.  It is common knowledge that the GPU in the X360 is more powerful than the one in the PS3.

One gen doesnt last too long. Im not waiting 4 years before getting some games.Hir0_N
