[QUOTE="Viviath"][QUOTE="Blue-Sky"] [QUOTE="Viviath"]Bungie is independent...i wonder where u'll be when their first Wii/Ps3 games come outBlue-Sky
Prove it?
Explain to me how they can release a game on the PS3.
Umm..they make a game for the PS3, then they release it.... -_^?
NO
Bungie is a developer, they still needa companyto fund and publish their games. And since they have a long standing publishing agreement with Microsoft, that company that will fund and publish their games is Microsoft. The process works like this:
Bungie must pitch a new IP to Microsoft FIRST.
Microsoft OK's theIP and funds/publishes it to whatever platform they decide.
Microsoft could potentially own the IP, depending on the publishing details.
If Microsoft denies the IP, then Bungie has the option of pitching to others, i.e. Activision, EA, Take-two, etc
The most likely senerio if MS were to deny a Bungie IP, would be Bungie going back and reconfiguring their Ideas so MS WOULD agree with it. Their relationship is too strong for MS not to publish any of their games.
Excuse me, but this contract, MS control or however you want to call it HAS ENDED.
The article is about the contract ending and Bungie regaining their rights. You're describing what it was like before.
