Why can't Sony release any of their good games this year?

Why is MGS4 not coming this Christmas? Why is FF13 vs. not coming out until 2009?

I have a feeling that Nintendo will get the games EVERY year, because it doesn't take 10 years to make a game.

The PS3 just looks like a downgraded 360 with a Blu-ray player thrown in. It needs some decent exclusives to warrant a purchaseover a 360.

I am pretty sure adding a Blu Ray player UPGRADES it from the 360 not downgrades it.... Ill admit right now in 07' the 360 has ridiculous exclusives.... thats why I own a 360 and have a Master Chief picture right there next to this post....but Im pretty sure im not comparing it to the 360.... its a PS3 vs. Wii thread...

Yes, this may be a PS3 vs. Wii thread, but we're suppose to convinve each other that you should buy a PS3 or a Wii. And I like most people don't see the reason in buying a PS3 unless it gets some good exclusives. 1 AAe isn't enough.

The reason that PS3 games are inferior as you say is because they have been ported from 360.... which are obviously going to be worse because they werent developed on the ps3 originally... when the first party exclusives come out such as Lair and Heavenly Sword we will see if it is actually inferior... and we will see when UT3 is ported from the ps3 to the 360 if the 360 has the same problem

3. My point was that in 2008 the view of the PS3 will change with all the games it has coming out in 08'... and that the Wii has very little planned for 08' as far as we know... if next week Nintendo releases that a load of great exclusives is coming out it wouldnt even need to be debated but right now.... nothin brewin except for Mario Kart

Downgraded? The X360 is very low quality in terms of reliability, whereas the PS3 is much more reliable and doesn't explode after you've been playing Oblivion for 6 hours straight.

and thats why you're argument is flawed. the wii has broken the gc trend already. many more publishers are announcing wii development and shifts. wii is going to take the #1 spot this year. the gc was never in that kind of position was it?

It seems that the Wii is going through the same trend as the GC. Theres a serious lack of good software coming out for this system in the future compared to the PS3. In 2008, there has been very little announced for the Wii and the PS3 has huge titles coming out such as MGS4, RE5 and Gran Turismo 5. Why cant Nintendo put out more good games... why must they be months or even years between?h575309

All three of those games listed are third party games, don't blame Nintendo, blame third party devs for being complete jack azzes

You are wrong. More developers are jumping over to the Wii, when they didn't do so on the Gamecube. There is no Gamecube trend. If it's going to be anything like the Gamecube. It's going to be on a lesser scale.

and i know your gonna say that not much has come out on PS3 this year either yet which is true.... but at least i use it for bluray movies and dvds when theres a gaming drought.... cant say that for the Wiih575309

When you compare consoles, you don't look at multiplats cuz they'll always go after the one with biggest user-base, but you go after exclusives. heavenly Sword,Uncharted and the Pixar-like R&CF:TOD is set to shut the critics up.

2. the whole point of me saying you already have a bluray and dvd player is that the piece of hardware is still in use when theres a gaming drought... plus it has the greater movie technology which looks amzing on any HDTV... and if you dont care about HDTV or movies then thats your problem not mine.... most people love it

crappy games on all systems get sales. you think that ps2 didn't have crappy games that sold well? this is not a gc trend. it's true for all systems. the DS lacked in online it's first year as well. is that a trend? I like how cows are now shifting everything to 2008 when we are still only half way through 2007. Xbox has a killer line up for 2007 so they keep asking what have you got coming out in 2008. Wii has less of a killer line up, but does have 3 very big games. The PS3 has basically a subset of the Xbox games coming out this year and the only reason it has a good line up of announced titles for next year is because they majority were delayed from this year. And a lot of the reason for the delay is not to improve the games but because there isn't a large enough install base for PS3 exclusive titles yet. actionquake

the PS3 has a killer line-up this Fall. They're so many games, therefore it's hard to disscus Sony's Fall line-up. Heavenly Sword,Uncharted,Ratchet,Warhawk and Lairseems all to be great games so I don't see what you mean by "a subset of Xbox games". And by akiller line-up for 360, you meana certain killer-app.Not much more than that but Mass Effect and Lost oddysee. And last, Wii's "killer line-up" is the same provided every year. Nothing new and fresh to the hardcore gamers.

You can expect them in late '08/early '09.

Wii games don't take long to develop and are cheap as well.

i agree it's not wise to look into 08 yet. There are way too many awesome titles coming for PS3 07, that even as a MGS fan, I couldn't care less for 08. And luckily for me as a future PS3 owner,that Sony focuses alot on first-party so I don't have to worry that games are getting pushed back all the time.
