PS3 gathering dust. Calling All Cars better come out Thursday

All I find myself doing is playing my 360. Gears, Crackdown.....no PS3. Why? Cause there's nothing to do on it. Resistance was fun, but before I got my 360, I beat that game 3 times over 100%. Motorstorm? Please, what kind of arcade racer doesn't have split screen multiplayer?

So as I await Lair and Heavenly Sword, I need something to take my attention away from the 360. That game could be Calling All Cars, a downloadable created by the same guys that brought us God of War and TM: Black. While it's just a kiddy version of Twisted Metal, it looks fun and has a lot of multiplayer options for both online and offline. I've been looking forward to it now for a while and it may be the first downloadable that's actually worth my money. Hopefully.

The problem is, the game was scheduled to be released on April 19th with Super Rub-a-Dub, and neither game was released. Anyone got any news? Is it coming out this thursday? The PS Store says it's coming soon and all. It was supposed to be out by the end of April. Anyone? Anything?!

I rather play NGS Demo then Calling all cars. GamerRadio

Really? A demo for a game that is a remake of a remake of a great game? lol, yeah can't blame ya though, it looks incredible. Nice to see new characters, weapon and move being added and still that legendary 60FPS. But ya know, Calling All CArs is a full downloadable with multiplayer both online and offline. Looks like a lot of fun. It also looks worth your $10.

Informed gamers were led to believe in March that Motorstorm was going to be a real Killer-ap...with more than just one gameplay mode and maybe some splitscreen? We were also led to believe that killer-aps like Lair and Heavenly Sword would be out in early 2007. You see that happening? Read some of my other posts about Sony's empty promises. It's pathetic.

Sorry to break it to you man, but Calling All Cars is delayed until May 18th.

Well, that's Sony for ya I guess. Way to go Phil! Nice to see that Sony's belief is that you don't need good software to sell hardware. Well, guess it's back to the 360 for another few weeks....

lol, I have a right...I bought the darn thing. As far as being naive and not believing the hype, well, I guess there's another 3 million people just as naive as me. Or maybe they all thought they could trust a company with standards as high as that of an international mega-power like Sony....you know, that would make sense right?

That makes no sense.Most people have reallistic expectations and they understand at this point what hype trailers from companies are supposed to do like Killzone , Motorstorm , Halo 3 , Madden 06 , etc. Informed people play the demos at stores , they look at gameplay footage , they read previews and reviews , and they learn about the features of the game first. They wait until there are enough games for them before buying. There is no excuse for this complaining. I am just telling you this because it makes you look like an uninformed newbie (no disrespect). I just can't imagine someone paying all that money on a ps3 right now without doing a little research first. Especially someone that already has a 360.

I loved Sony, and like many, many others, I couldn't wait for the PS3. And you know what? For the first time in my gaming career (17 years now from what I remember as a little guy) I made a big mistake with a console.

I avoided Dreamcast, Gamecube, Sega Saturn, Sega CD, all in the realization at the time that they weren't worth my time, or parent's money (come on, I was young!). Now, I go off and buy the PS3 on my own, fully expecting it to deliver the way Sony promised it to, and it sucks right out of the gate.

There is every bit the potential for this system to get back on its own two feet. But ya know, delaying and delaying and delaying games isn't the way to do it. I'm mad cause I want Sony to do well, but my 360 just owns this thing and gives me no reason to play the PS3. Heck, Sony gives me no reason to play it.

You were smart waiting on it. I and 3 million other people were not. Why defend the system if you don't own it? No offense dude, but unless you own this thing, your replies to my venting mean nothing to me cause I'm trying more or less to get at those who have bought the PS3. Most agree with me that it's getting ridiculous. Some don't and hate me for it. Bashing my posts when you don't even own the system is kinda dumb right? Come back and tell me to stop complaining once you own a PS3. And when you do, it probably will have some good games cause you waited and by then I won't be complaining too much. Maybe the year 2008?....maybe.....so congratulations.

Well I think that is where you errored trusting international mega-power companies, like sony. Sorry you should take the PS3 back and ask for a refund.

If it's any consolation the PS2 took a few years to get good games, you might have some by the year 2008. Or you can get your revenge now, habib know's how to turn a PS3 into a IED, hence it's export ban to the middle east.

And you seriously think that 3 million other people feel the same way you do about the ps3 right now ? Just because you think Motorstorm is a joke and Resistance is boring doesn't mean jack squat right now.

I don't own the system yet , but I have played it a bunch. It seems fine to me this early overall but I am waiting until there are about 5 games out that I really really want to play because that is the smart thing to do. ;)
