There is a difference in taking a idea and making it nearly identical or inferior, and making a superior product based on the ideas of an inferior one. Sony looks like it is doing the latter
Actually, this is pretty cool. Sure, it's kind of like the Mii thing, but to be honest, the Mii channel on the Wii is pretty lame (Wii is the only next-gen console I own, so no, I'm not a cow or a lemming). I really hope Nintendo does something like this to their Mii channel so I can also have fun!

Looks interesting....but it seems like it might be a hassle to get people together to play a game (this is touted as a feature in the trailer). If you're just interested in meeting people to play games XBL seems to be faster and easier. The rest of it is like the sims...
In the trailer did anyone see that it asks "Who are you?" and I immediately thought back to Nintendo's old commercials lolz. But seriously it was impressive. Now the problem is waiting for it.

What they should do is make it like MS with the points and however many points you get means how much you can buy like let's say a cheap apartment will be 100 points or a mansion could be 10,000 points ya know.
I don't mind the whole similarities with other products... who cares..everything comes from somewhere else... as long as they take it and put their spin on it, it's fine to me. It looks like it will be good but I think the problem with kids going around acting like a nut and yelling and bothering people will become an issue soon or eventually
I'll be the first to admit that Home looks really cool! (I've been totally bashing PS3 in the past). Looks like they finally got something right. Basically, its Sims meet PS3. Unfortunately for some, I see this being a total sausage fest. Women are going to be as rare as they would be in a male prison, and probably treated as such when one arrives. This is good buzz! Sony needed something like this at launch!

lol sorry i didn't know about that part, but from the look of it with those screen shots it does look like IMVU with a graphics upgrade. 50$ says with in a year MS uses this idea if it works out, hey why let a good idea go to waste also enough of this copy crap im always reading around here god do some people come up with some lame crap.

Did you guys even read the article about it? i t's not like The Sims, In this feature you can play songs inside your house from your HDD to show to your friends, you can post pictures from your HDD to you home, you can actually invite people that are in your house and play some online games!, and porbably many more.
Sony did a very good job, Fanboys just don't know how to express there jealousy, so they just try to put down this feature and say it's not impressive, Fact is people who own this console don't care.

I own both new consoles EXCEPT the PS3. Why you ask? Because the PS3 SUCKS! I would never pay $600 when i can buy something better for $400... Its not about money, its about business. Sony is dong a terrible job with the PS3
