ps3 gets overshadowed this christmas

This month halo 3 comes out adn this game will sell alot of 360's and that will lead too the other great 360's games sell through the roof.

The wii will sell like hotcake even more this holiday season. That plus the wii games coming out will lead more wii console/games sales.

the ps3 the console which has been known as the most expensive and least marketed(havnt seen a ps3 commerical in months). The console will get overshadows by 360 and wii. Even if sony gets the rummored 40gig out. Microsoft will just drop pirce too. only rachet and clank and uncharted will be the aaa's comming out but compared to the 360 adn wii's aaa thats not much.

I bet the only PS3 title I buy this year is R&C while my 360 list has 6 or 7 games on it. So yeah maybe, The PS3 advantage though is Warhawk because while I have been bytching about how bad it has run up till now the last patch seemed to make it finally work right. Riverwolf007

I'm so happy about Warhawk finally tracking my stats that I will put more time into it than almost anything coming out for awhile.

Good stuff, but my 2007 360 list is crazy good, Ace Combat(yea multi but I can't live without rumble) Halo, Sega Rally, Mass effect, PGR4, COD4, a few of those I would consider getting on PS3 but all my real life friends have 360s and we play together all the time so thats prolly the biggest reason I'm snubbing the PS3 until next year.

The thing is this. Wii will probably sell as usual but the 360 will probably not sell that well at all. The people who want mass effect, halo 3 etc probably already own one and the rest will buy the new sku of PS3 because they now sony will deliver in the long run, and belive me they will.

dude r u kidding haze and unreal tourney 3. they won't sell as big as halo, but definately better than anything wii has to offer.

if the ps3 comes down to 399 it will outsell the 360 world wide. in america the 360 may outsell the ps3. but Worldwide>US sales

While your statement could be true, it depends on individual tastes. Sony had their chance to entice would-be Playstation 3 owners with the 20 GB $499.99 USD SKU at launch as an alternative to the high-end SKU when the press was doubtful about the Wii's long-term success (we're still slightly worried about the Wii's long-term goals) and the 360 library was lackluster. It could be said that Sony's move to lower the price to $399.99 USD could be a move considered "too little, too late" and the Xbox 360 software will be the primary focus this holiday season. We have a 360 in the house, and I'm purchasing a Wii this week mainly for personal use. Last March when Sony looked like it would have more mainstream appeal than the Wii I wanted to purchase one, but as things have turned out the only reason that I would have to purchase the PS3 now is if Sony comes through with proper Japanese RPGs as the Xbox 360, the Wii and our two PCs (one of them with Vista HP and Steam) can cover almost every gaming need for the rest of the year except true RPGs (and Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey may be decent but not enough to fill the genre).

I will point out though that both casual and hardcore gamers are chomping at the bit for Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and no offense but the number of hardcore AND casual gamers purchasing those titles will be twice as big as hardcore gamers purchasing UT and Haze (and that isn't even taking into consideration the number of hardware units sold as of September 1st).
