All 3 consoles have a chance of becoming the top console. PS3 proce-drop, wii's gimmick for casuals, 360's great games.

After it's gone down in price again and MGS4 and FFXIII have been released, it'll be waaaay ahead of Wii and Xbox 360 in Japan at least.

Technically I believe they said its possible through software, however they have already stated they would not waste the time or money involved to do it.

Well I have a 60Gig PS3, and when I play PS2 titles, the system almost has to restart, to start playing them. With PS1 games, the system just starts to play them, so I think the PS1 system is built right in to the main PS3 processing area, while the PS2 games need a seperate chip to authenticate the games.

No one can predict the future of the 3 consoles, it is just a wait and see game.
