let me check .... ::shakes magic 8-ball::
The window is kinda filled with bubbles... but it says "Cannot predict now"
40Gig has no B/C. They could add it later with a firmware update.dream431caI've heard a lot of people say that, but I've seen no official announcement of that, I might just be missing something, Can you give me a link?
All 3 consoles have a chance of becoming the top console. PS3 proce-drop, wii's gimmick for casuals, 360's great games.
But we know it'll be a good Xmas for the DSL again probibly
After it's gone down in price again and MGS4 and FFXIII have been released, it'll be waaaay ahead of Wii and Xbox 360 in Japan at least.
With MSG is its only weapon not a chance. GTA was the engine that sold Ps2's Sony has lost that and now are totally screwedNugtokaA lot of people including myself are buying it for ff13 alone, but there's a lot of good games coming out for it, and multiplats seem to hold people over.

However, today Sony Computer Entertainment America ended all the pesky 'rumours and speculation' by officially announcing that the new 40GB PlayStation 3--which is no longer backwards compatible with PlayStation 2 titles--will indeed be released in North America on November 2.

Stupid question, it's easy to assume the answer, but by taking a literal interpretation, does that mean it could still support ps1 titles? since it doesn't say it won't? :PAll the new price drops, and on gamespot's announcement i didn't see anything about the 40 gig sku not having b/c...unless I'm wrong.LiquidAjaxSo they are going to sell over8 million consoles within six months?

I wasn't exactly referring to the total amount of hardware sold altogether, more along the lines of during that period of time i made a reference to.
wii has this gen in the bag .deadmeat59If it turns out to be like DS, yes, I play my wii less and less though right now.

So independent developers could probably fill in the emptiness of b/c probably? Or that might have to be on another OS installed don the system. Plus enough people whined about no rumble (which was justified) and sony is now releasing it, it is always a possibility that they might release an update themselves to rectify angry customers.[QUOTE="dream431ca"]I've heard a lot of people say that, but I've seen no official announcement of that, I might just be missing something, Can you give me a link?[QUOTE="LiquidAjax"][QUOTE="dream431ca"]40Gig has no B/C. Stupid question, it's easy to assume the answer, but by taking a literal interpretation, does that mean it could still support ps1 titles? since it doesn't say it won't? :PWell I have a 60Gig PS3, and when I play PS2 titles, the system almost has to restart, to start playing them. With PS1 games, the system just starts to play them, so I think the PS1 system is built right in to the main PS3 processing area, while the PS2 games need a seperate chip to authenticate the games.
