I guess according to OS the ps3 is better.

You try harder... Ps3 and 360 cost $299 for a 360 with almost enough hardware to match the ps3... oh yeah forgot minus the wifi, rechargeble controllers, bluetooth, bluray, browser, home, folding@home, bluray disc drive, top rate exclusive 1st party game devs, etc......It's common sense that the grand prize would be the most expensive. :|
Try harder

Yeah, and I'm sure that Operation Sports really has a deep-rooted knowledge of gaming, let alone gaming hardware.http://www.operationsports.com/newspost.php?id=400048

Im so sad I dont have the fancy browser, bluray, folding@home, bluray (you um... mentioned bluray twice, so it must be really important). I guess I'll have to stick with my console being able to access a larger number of AAAAE, AAAE, and AAE games. what a shame

In other news, the 360 is on Engadget's list of top ten gadgets that defined the decade.

Well if the rule is true you get what you pay for, that's a whole other argument unto itself. The 360 is cheaper therefore it is less.

Yet it has many, many more critically acclaimed games than PS3.

360 =£199. PS3 = £280. Since that site's contest uses "$" dollars as the currency I am going to assume it's an American contest, meaning the 360 and ps3 prices in America are $299 each (unelss you want a gimped 360.)The premier system is generally the grand prize.Parasomniac
Wow. This is sad. Actually.
Do you really have to resort to using a sport contest's prizes?

Some people seem to think the quality of a console depends on the console's price.

Wifi: although its a nice feature.. its not upgradable. 360 has a N band adapter option available while the ps3 will always be stuck with a b/g card. Rechargeble Controllers: also a nice feature but what happens when the internal batteries fail? Bluetooth: this has been nothing but a problem for me. first... i cant use my logitech harmony remote on my ps3 while watching a movie. so i had no choice but to buy the $20-$25 bluetooth remote. second.. bluetooth ear buds are horrible. i like the headset like the 360 and i cant find one thats comparable for a decent price. im just gonna end up buying a $20 wired headset from best buy. Bluray: i love blu ray but the movies are still too expensive. Browser: the ps3 browser is garbage. as is the wii and psp browser. Home: home is a joke. ive prolly spend a total of 20 mins in home and almost half of that time is spent waiting for a new area to load. the bowling alley was the only area worth going to. although i read that namco setup a nice room but i still have to check it out. Folding@home: yes this is just a top selling point. seriously i dont know why you even listed this. Bluray disc drive: whats the difference from the bluray listed before this? Top rate exclusive 1st party game devs: i cant argue with that. this is the main reason why i still own my ps3 or why i would recommend it to anyone. That's the worst excuse yet. I can make a contest and have two prizes as well. Grand Prize: Splosion Man (XBLA) Second Prize: Uncharted 2. So I guess that means Splosion Man is better right?? BTW, common logic would suggest that the more expensive item is grand prizeFunconsoleI actually enjoyed splosion man better that Uncharted 2. At least it´s original.

I think this thread is going to cause endorphinmaster to have a brain hemorage so I will back off.
But no it doesn't hurt. The truth hurts.
The truth is the ps3 has the show. I can speak as a sports gamer that the ps3 is the premier system for sports gamers right now. That's why it is that way. Plus it has bluray etc.. It is seen as the premier console in that realm of gaming. Most sports gamers are in their mid 30's these days so no red ring, built in wifi, bluray, top of the heap exclusives really appeal to the thirty somethings.
I like sports games as well but you have to admit not everyone likes the same games. I HATE baseball and basketball games because they are sooo lame. Almost worse than watching on TV. I love soccer and hockey games so the 360 still works for me[QUOTE="Walker34"]I like sports games as well but you have to admit not everyone likes the same games. I agree with you there. The 360 also gets patches first. I've hung onto my 360 for this long because of the controller and that and haven't gotten a ps3. Although i will be getting one this week. I can't hold off not playing The Show any longer lol. MLB 2k10 is a big improvement this year, but it's still wonky and glitchy as heck and I can't take it any more.
