PS3 has GOTY 2008 already a lock!!

While 360 will most likely see another GOTY this year.. There is no denying that Sony will definitly get GOTY 2008. With titles such as.. Final Fantasy, MGS4,Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2 and Tekken 6 ALL coming out next year for PS3, and 360 so far only having Alan wake and Too Human and Wii, God only knows what Wii will have next year. Its pretty obvious that either Killzone 2 or MGS4 will be GOTY of next year my guess is MGS4 will be GOTY from what has been shown so far.. So lemms, enjoy this year while you can because next year is definitly sony's year for GOTYMke36079

Unless a delay pushes it to 09 I think Spore will take home the majority of the GOTY awards.

Besides, Nintendo and MS haven't really gotten into their 2008 lineups. How's about we wait a bit, mmkay?

if i was a cow i'd be more concerned about the lack of quality games released since launch, especially taking into consideration the cost of the console, and yes lemms will enjoy this year, along with the last two years the console has had the best games.

Final Fantasy is probably more of FF12 rehashed, looking as the series' past.

MGS4 is Sony's make-or-break title. I'll agree it could be GOTY, but its move to the next gen could be weak.

GT5 is exciting, but something that realistic isn't mainstream enough to be GOTY

Killzone 2.....did you play KZ1?

Tekken 6 is cool, but again not GOTY material.

My bet is on RE5 if it comes out in 08. That's on both systems, I'm pretty sure, so we all win. Amirite?

Hold up there. I think your forgetting some huge titles. Too Human, Halo Wars, Fable 2 and ect.

There is also a small title which i think has a huge chance of getting GOTY. Fallout 3.

Fair enough.

I guess we could add Fable 2, PGR 4, GeOW2 (although it hasn't been announced), and RE5. I'm sure there are a bunch more that I am just not aware of. Ooh, and Fracture. I'm rather hyped about that one.

Anywho, my point is simply that all three should have rather robust 2008 lineups and to declare an outright winner already is pretty naive and downright silly.

How do you know that? I mean if you seriously think between Leipzig, TGS, and X07 that they would only be showing the same games... :roll:

Me personally, I'm hoping that Fallout 3 will make GOTY. A lot of people seem to exclude it when it happens to be one of the best RPG series of all time. Besides why are we talking about GOTY 2008, shouldn't we be talking about GOTY 2007 or does Bioshock have that in the bag already.

the reason why i reckon it'll only be a few titles is because just LOOK at the 08 360 list. its massive, i doubt something truly unpredicatble is gonna be announced, which isn't a bad thing, 'cause 360's 08 is decent. i reckon GEArs 2, Ninja gaiden 2 get announced.if you lemmings are luckya multiplat Fabula nova chrystallis game (FFXIII series)game. ;)

What if GTAIV gets GOTY next year? That would be multiplat, which means that both systems would get GOTY.

Maybe you should wait and hear the full lineup for Wii and 360 next year, before jumping to conclusions?

Spore will get GOTY 2008.

But even not counting that, to be honest, I think I'll see Alan Wake getting GOTY before any of the games you just mentioned.
